What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

In my head I'm still 20, still thinking/hoping I'm as fit as I was when I running competitively, playing club squash and netball, hill climbing and going to the gym at every opportunity...

In reality I've just turned 60, probably a stone plus overweight, weak knees, diminished upper body strength, dodgy back and constant headaches, probably caused by bad sleeping habits.

Although I cycle and walk regularly there came a point where I knew I didn't want to be old and weak and overweight, I wanted to be as fit and healthy as I possibly could be.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I have learnt is consistency and being present at every session I attend.

The whole FitBody concept is non judgemental, I'm not concerned if the lady next to me is lifting lower or higher weights than me or doing more or less reps, and I doubt they aren't bothered with what I'm doing either.....I'm there for 45 mins and I make sure I make the most of every one of them...I watch that timer like a hawk 😅.

What results did you achieve?

Ive been attending FitBody for about 6 weeks now, I'm not expecting to lose that stone overnight, it's a journey, slowly slowly wins the race.

A huge result for me is looking forward to going to sessions 3 times a week....EVERY week .

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I started FitBody as I had lost weight and needed a new challenge.

I needed to tone up and I couldn’t decide what form of exercise was best for me, then FitBody showed up and I just hit the sign me up button.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I had learned is that strength & fitness training is fun and that I need a good routine and plan to stay focussed.

I love the family atmosphere, the trainers are so helpful with advice and technique.

What results did you achieve?

In 5 weeks I have lost inches got more strength and I can already see my body toning I've also gained confidence in myself , which is worth more than anything & can’t wait to continue! 💪

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I’d finally reached my goal weight, then life happened…pregnancy, a breakup, and a lot of stress, and the weight crept back on!

Having now moved back to the UK, I really wanted to find a fresh routine, feel good in myself again, and get some support along the way.

I was looking for somewhere that could help me get stronger, boost my weight loss journey, and help me rebuild confidence both in and out of the gym.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

That I don’t have to figure it all out on my own.

I don’t always have the headspace to plan a workout, so having sessions I can just book into and turn up for has been a game changer.

I always leave feeling better- It reminded me that progress doesn’t have to be perfect, just consistent and supported.

What results did you achieve?

I’ve started losing weight and inches, but more than that, I feel stronger, more capable, and like I’m getting back to myself again. I really enjoy the sessions, they fit in easily around everything else, and I actually look forward to going.

I’m excited to keep going and see how far I can take it!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I took the plunge and signed up for the 28day challenge with FitBody in February 25 to kick start my weight loss / fitness journey.

I have tried many different diets before but after losing the initial big weight loss I struggled to keep going, like most of us we want that quick fix but learning that fitness, focus and food = success over time and it's not a race!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Consistency is key 🔑 & It's great having a professional trainer in a group, it's like having 1-1 training but less intimidating than a 'normal' gym!

What results did you achieve?

The results I've achieved so far are a loss in cm's on ALL areas of my body, a steady weight loss, improvement in my mental health, and generally feeling happier.

Don't get me wrong the workouts are tough, but they are also very structured, and led by professionals who can adapt the workouts to your needs if needed.

Everyone is so friendly, and we have a giggle along the way. The best part for me is that it only takes 45 mins and you are shown exactly what to do and told which areas we are working....I love the feeling of the next few days after, when I KNOW I've worked hard as the muscles start to ache! 🤣

FitBody sits well around family/work life balance and would recommend anyone to try it 🙌

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Having a full time job, children, grandchildren and lack of motivation, I didn't think I would have time to go to a gym, never mind being able to stick to it. I was stuck in a rut of wanting to improve myself but not knowing how

With family events planned this year, I knew I wanted to look and feel better in myself, so I had to put my big girl pants on and finally start 🩲

I was very reluctant at first and didn't know what to expect, having the option of early morning classes fitted in perfectly with work and family life. I don't think I would make it through the first session, but 5 weeks on and I'm loving it, I never thought I would say that about exercise!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

In 5 weeks I have lost just under 9lbs in weight and have lost cms from my waist and hips.

The difference I feel in myself with my fitness and mental health is something that I didn't expect! Seeing positive results from the hard work being put in is keeping me motivated to continue.

The early morning get ups have got easier, don't get me wrong some days are easier than others but I have done so much better than I ever thought possible.

I still have a long way to go, but I now have the help to continue.

What results did you achieve?

I have learnt to make better choices with the food I was eating, it did take a bit of getting used to, recording everything was a great help.

I've learnt that I am stronger than I thought, I wasn't sure I would last a week but 5/6 weeks later and I'm actually enjoying exercise, I never thought I would say that.

Being in a friendly and supportive environment makes it easier to enjoy.

The positive results after only a short amount of time, physically and mentally has been amazing

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I was sat in hospital in January following my second miscarriage in 6-months feeling like I’d completely lost ‘me’.

Already a busy mum of two young boys (age 4 & 2.5), my husband and I had been trying for a third for over a year.

In that time I think I’d put my life on hold while I was waiting to find out if we were going to be a family of 4 or a family of 5.

I couldn’t keep going on like that.

I’d put on a dress size in that time and my mental health wasn’t in the best place, I also knew that I couldn’t fix it on my own- That’s when I came across FitBody.

I’ve never been to a gym - I find them intimidating and I also have no idea what to do.

But the accountability that the 28 day plan offered was just what I needed to keep me motivated and the idea of a small, structured, female only class sounded perfect- I could at least give it a try, right?

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Less of a lesson, more of a realisation.

A realisation that I can go to a gym and enjoy it!

That I can carve out time for myself and actually be a better, happier mum, wife and person for it!

What results did you achieve?

After 5 weeks I’d lost 4.5cm off my waistline and 2kg in weight!

I’m so so happy with this and this is just the start.

I’m also feeling so much fitter and stronger in general.

I went back to ParkRun at the same time as starting FitBody and am getting quicker and quicker each week.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I had been talking about “doing something” for goodness knows how long and always found an excuse why I would “do it next week”!

As I have got older (I’m 63) my weight has gone up and up, although I controlled my eating (or so I thought) nothing altered- I felt sluggish and tired all of the time.

In January we made the move to Shrewsbury and this was the time “to sort myself out” New place, new home, new start!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Since joining FitBody I have surprised myself, I didn’t think I would find the sessions fun, I just thought I would try it but didn’t think I would be able to do it!

The sessions are actually fun, always different, so not repetitive and you are encouraged to just do your best. There are no judgements or expectations, if you struggle with any of the exercises the Trainer will adjust it to something that works for you whilst still having an impact.

One of the most important lessons I have learnt is, you don’t just get fitness sessions, you get guidance on nutrition too.

I thought my eating wasn’t too bad... I would control my portions, but I didn’t consider what I was eating. I now try to ensure that I get a good mix of nutrients as well as the amount.

What results did you achieve?

I am now excited to continue and see just how far I can push myself having already lost weight and cm's!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I signed up to fit body over 3 years ago, having never stepped foot in a gym before, the FitBody Trainers were very reassuring, so I convinced myself even I could manage a couple of months ….. And I’m still here !!

After surviving breast cancer in 2013, 5 years of hormone suppressants, and reconstruction surgery later (they did a great job by the way) I came out the other side with a renewed zest for life, but no energy or fitness to match it -and although I did yoga, it wasn’t enough .....eventually I came across FitBody

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Doing the early session means I can be working by 8 and I’m energised to get through the rest of the day ....+ it’s great to feel part of a good team, it sets me up for the day ahead!

What results did you achieve?

The first month wasn’t easy for me, but I changed my sessions to early mornings and that suited my energy levels much better, and I was happy with the results, weight loss and overall toning up.

I still sometimes struggle with arthritis in my knee (results of hormone suppression) but the trainers are always on hand to give me an alternative way to do the same exercise, and achieve the same results.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

As a bigger woman, I was always reluctant to work out, and I definitely didn’t expect to feel motivated or excited about it. But all of that has completely changed.

From the very first session, I knew I had made the right choice.

The 3 sessions a week have become something I look forward to every single week.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

It’s not just about physical fitness – it’s been a complete transformation for both my body and mind. Scott and Sam, the trainers, have been incredibly supportive and motivating.

They’ve taken the time to help me with personalised exercises that work around my back pain and flat feet, and they’ve encouraged me to push past my own limitations. Without them, I honestly don’t think I would have progressed as quickly as I have.

One of the biggest struggles for me at other gyms in the past was staying motivated. Doing it alone made it so much harder to stick with a routine. But here, the atmosphere is completely different.

Everyone is there for the same reason, and it’s a community of women who support each other no matter their shape or size.

There’s no judgment, just a shared goal of improving ourselves. I’ve done things I never thought I’d be capable of, and the best part is, I’m having fun doing it!

What results did you achieve?

In just five weeks, I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my strength and overall ability. I’m lifting weights I never thought I could, and I can feel my body becoming stronger and more capable.

I never imagined I’d be able to make it through a workout without feeling completely drained, but now, I have more energy and confidence in myself. It’s been an incredible boost to my mental health too – I feel more positive, focused, and proud of what I’m achieving.

Looking back, I can honestly say joining this gym was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made & I’m excited to see how much further I can go.

The progress I’ve made in such a short time has been life-changing, and I can’t thank Nick enough for reaching out to me and encouraging me to join. It’s been totally worth the money, and I’m eager to see where I’ll be this time next year.

The only thing I wish for is the opportunity to do even more sessions because I’m truly loving every minute of it. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend giving it a try – no matter your size or fitness level, you’ll find a supportive and fun community here that will help you push past any barriers.

It’s hard to believe it’s only been five weeks since I joined this amazing women’s-only gym, but I can already see and feel such a difference in my life.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

With a 3 year old daughter and a busy job, I haven’t done much exercise at all for the last few years.

I wanted something to improve my general health and fitness and have never done anything like FitBody offers before.

FitBody gives me the guidance I need, whilst providing varied sessions that go by in the blink of an eye.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Consistency is key and changes have to be sustainable, which this definitely is.

I am now 6 weeks in, doing 3 workouts a week and feel like it’s part of my weekly routine.

What results did you achieve?

I have lost 2.5kg with almost 10 centimetres off as well.

More importantly though, I feel more energised, more positive and can feel I am getting stronger.

The classes are enjoyable, non-judgmental and welcoming and I genuinely look forward to going!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I was aware I was no where near as strong as I used to be, but had accepted this following breast cancer, being over 50 and menopausal. My strength diminished further, so much so I was struggling to fasten my bra!

I realised I needed help, just not sure what, until one Friday evening scrolling through my phone with a glass of wine, found FitBody.

I read about local group training for ladies - I thought wow! This could be for me.

I slept on it over night and revisited Saturday morning. I clicked about 5 times to get a call back from Nick before taking the plunge to speak.
Nick phoned exactly to time, sounded lovely on the phone. He asked me if I wanted to drop a dress size and increase my strength and fitness! Tick tick and tick!

As I hadn’t exercised for years, had one vest top which was very snug and nothing else, so bought one of everything to get me to my first session. I was apprehensive but on meeting the team, I was soon put me at ease. They were super supportive. The warm up nearly killed me 😂, but I managed to get through my first session in a very uncoordinated manner, but as I walked out, felt lifted and inspired.

I was so pleased I’d taken the plunge! I knew this is for me! It was going to make the difference I am looking for in my life. The dietary advice which followed was superb and so different from years of every fad diets and made perfect sense. Supported by accountability was a game changer!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

My 45 minutes is time for me, to try and be my best self! Setting time aside like this just for me wasn’t something I’d really done before.

It has been fantastic and a real tonic, something I was really not expecting to feel.

The trainers are super supportive and provide a varied programme- I never thought I’d ever say exercise in my late 50’s exercise is addictive and fun.

It’s about listening to advice and support with technique, enjoying the challenge and feeling the burn!

Not beating yourself up for what you can’t do, but feeling good about the changes in your range of movement, ability and size.

I’ve heard so many friends say ‘Wow I couldn’t do that last week, but now I can.’ Every week brings a new win for us all!

Understanding more about my diet and what I eat, there are tracking apps to check out the calories in my favourite foods, which in turn supported portion control and identifying where a dish should be an occasional treat, rather than a regular feature! I had no idea how much protein I needed to eat! But feel so much better for the significant increase.

Accountability also supported every part of the journey, checking out things I wasn’t sure of, along the way with the option to carry on as long as I needed to in support of my new found motivation.

FitBody definitely provides the complete package, Fitness, Food, Focus and Mindset.

What results did you achieve?

A leaner, stronger me! Loss of cm's everywhere, the biggest achievement being my waist!

Being able to fasten my bra with ease!

Now enjoying fabulous clothes in the cupboard, which hadn’t fit for sometime!

Meeting some wonderful supportive and very kind ladies, aches that make me smile and feel good, regaining lost strength along with a new flexibility, making better food choices in terms of what I eat & a clearer head- the list is long.

Despite the last year being challenging to say the least, the feeling I get every time I leave my session sets me up for the day and makes me feel as though I can conquer the world 🌎

I’ve just reached my 200th session and looking forward to the next 200!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I wanted to increase my wellness – physically and mentally.

I have always had an office job, but since lockdown I have been working from home- sat at my desk all day - with zero energy, time, or motivation to workout ...I was feeling sluggish.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

It is possible to enjoy exercise!!!

I have tried gym memberships before, and gym classes, but they haven’t worked out for me.

I get bored easily, and repetitive routines or plans just don’t inspire me to stick it out.

Gym classes were better, but the fixed session times would be difficult to fit around ‘life’!

Fitbody is the perfect solution for me – 3 x 45 minute sessions per week at days and times to suit you.

The flexibility to book and change days and times yourself on the app, so there really is no excuse that you don’t have time.

But to be honest, you don’t need an excuse because it’s actually enjoyable, (I didn’t think I’d ever say that about exercise!).

Each session is different, and I feel like I achieve so much more in 45 minutes at FitBody than I did in twice the time at a gym.

The Trainers, Sam and Scott, are both brilliant at keeping motivation up, and encouraging you to push yourself to reach your goals.

And the social aspect of working out in groups makes it not only more fun, but spurs you on to work harder and keep going.

What results did you achieve?

I have been at Fitbody now for almost a year, and I have more energy, feel healthier, and I am definitely stronger.

Mentally it just has a way of making me feel better.

I remember the first week of sessions and worrying if I could manage this – I found muscles aching that I never knew I had! But I’m so glad I stuck with it.

FitBody has managed to create a welcoming environment that is quite unique – no judgment, not intimidating, just a great group of friendly people.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

After six years of hell, firstly losing my dad to dementia, then my bother to a sudden heart attack and then finally my mum to cancer I wasn’t in the best place.

For many years my priorities have been everyone else first but finally I decided to make time for myself. The physical side is important but the way FitBody has changed my headspace is huge.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The main lesson is that if I put my mind to it and dedicate the time I’m way more capable than I realised. The thought of being in a gym with lots of other people filled me with dread but I love being with all the other ladies and Nash, Scott and Sam are absolutely fab.

Through every session I moan and groan 😅 to get through it but the whole team are motivational and we all have a laugh.

What results did you achieve?

Having only been at FitBody for a short time the primary result so far is feeling so much more confident and an added bonus of my body shape beginning to change. I’m looking forward to getting fitter and losing those excess pounds over the next few months.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined FitBody as it was a New Year and I was desperate to lose some weight.

As a Mom with a busy job, I was struggling to find the time, or more likely the motivation, to exercise at home, and I’d lost control of my diet eating what I wanted when I wanted.

I needed something that would hold me to account and encourage me to get fit, and FitBody was the perfect solution for this.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I love going to the sessions now, and it never feels like a chore, it’s 3 times a week and the 45mins go so quickly, I find myself looking forward to going!

The exercises are so varied it never gets boring, the trainers have been really helpful with the nutrition side of things, tweaking my approach when the weight wasn’t coming off as quickly as I’d hoped.

What results did you achieve?

The biggest things I’ve learned at FitBody are that exercise doesn’t have to be a chore, if you want to loose weight you’ve got to get the balance right in terms of how much you consume and lifting weights isn’t just for bodybuilders!!

I’m still only two months into my FitBody journey, but I have lost nearly half a stone so far, and I am far stronger now than when I first started…I thought the heavier kettle bells were for the hardcore but I’m using them more and more now! I can’t wait to continue my journey and hopefully achieve my weight loss goals!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I needed to do something for my health & wellbeing, I have had weight issues for as long as I can remember, always up and down round & round.

I lost my dad suddenly and this has been hard to deal with for me. He was a role model like my mum is, he was such a kind & caring person.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Food is the thing that I go to when I'm happy or sad. I have now got something else to focus on and it appears to be helping me. It was time to do something for *me* & I'm happy to say that I'm not on any medication at the moment and I want it to stay like that, the exercise & program is really helping.

What results did you achieve?

I have lost inches and I'm nearly half a stone lighter since I started.

I have a long way to go... but this is helping my mental health tremendously. I feel better in my self, more healthy and fitter than before & I am now able to get off the floor more easily than before 😅.

That first week was hard. I thought is it just me, but I persevered & the second week was so much easier - I think probably because I knew I could do it! I am seeing the difference in what I couldn’t do to what I can do now in just a month.

I would recommend anyone to give this ago, I am not a gym fan & this is definitely not like that. Everyone is so welcoming and will help if you are stuck, you've also got the FitBody Trainers in your corner to help with what ever you need to solve.

The session times are brilliant, morning and evening’s to suit your life.... My life is a very busy one and I have always struggled with fitting in a gym or walk with work and home life -- now at long last I can!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I started a weight loss journey in 2022, and by December 2024 I had lost 9st 3lbs (58.5kg) but was really struggling to lose that last 11lbs (5kg).

Along with fat loss I had become quite weak and whilst my BMI was down, so was my muscle mass. I had seen FitBody and decided to bite the bullet.

I had nothing to lose.

My aim was to lose that last 5kg and to get stronger.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I had been on a pretty much protein only diet for 2 years.

The first two things I learned was I was not eating the right volume and I needed to start including carbs.

What results did you achieve?

My first session was on 31st December and I weighed in at 66.2kg.

By 27th January I was down to 58.6kg, so finally I had busted my 10 stone weight loss.

I’d also lost 5cm off my waist!

Fast forward to 13th February, my weight and waist have remained stable, but my Chest, thighs and arms are slightly more toned, so I feel I am gaining a little muscle. I am eating more and enjoying what I eat.

The support from my coaches Sam and Scott has been incredible, but even more is the encouragement from the other woman in the sessions.

I never thought I would see the day that I enjoyed exercise, and would say a session was fun, but here I am loving it.

I still have a long way to go to feel fit and strong, but for the first time in my life I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

On a whim I joined FitBody just before New Year to address my New Year's resolutions - increase strength, balance and mobility in my body and lose some excess weight. It looked as if FitBody could address all of these issues as I was struggling to do it on my own.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The first session was hard of course, and as I was gurneyed to my car at the end 😆 I wondered how I could possibly carry on. But carry on I did and it gradually became more manageable and certainly more enjoyable.

I am now in week 6 and really enjoying it and Nick is very supportive of you in a session.

What results did you achieve?

I am thrilled with my results in that I have lost over 9 inches in total from my measurements on day 1 and my clothes are fitting me better.

I am definitely stronger although the weight loss has been slower - about 4 lbs (Nick assures me that cm loss is just as good as weight loss 🫡) - but I am starting to get to grips with the nutritional side and there is masses of information within the programme to help with this. I don't think I realised how important the nutritional side is and that exercise is not enough on its own.

The exercises are extremely varied and by the end of a session I can honestly say I feel re-energised and not at all tired. I look forward to the next few weeks to see what I can achieve.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I was the heaviest I've ever been, and I was miserable. I used to come to Fitbody 3 years ago but due to unforeseen circumstances, I was no longer able to attend. This was a huge disappointment because FitBody helped me feel the best that I could. This is why I have returned and won't go to another gym.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The lesson I've learnt is consistency and accountability is the key. I've learnt that by investing in myself, not only do I get into shape but it hugely helps my mental health and wellbeing.

What results did you achieve?

Since starting again 10 months or so ago, I've lost over 4 and a half stone. I still have 2 and a half to go still but I know I'll get there with Nick and the Team. I have also been tracking my food intake, upping my protein , drinking 2 litres of water a day and so on.

I'm happy that I have invested in myself and my mental wellbeing. Nick is brilliant and I can't thank him enough for supporting me in my journey. He also messages me if I skip a session or two. 😆 but that's really good for me.

It's all very well being on a weightless journey however, at my age ( 48) I need to keep muscle and tone. FitBody is fun, the ladies are amazing and you always feel so much better about yourself coming away than when you first went in.

I highly recommend FitBody to everyone and a few friends of mine have also joined now. It's not like a normal gym where you just go and do what you want or not, this is a Personal Training experience with circuits made out for you that change weekly. So, it's never boring and keeps you on your toes.

If you are wanting to invest in yourself, want to lose weight, have accountability, and change your mindset, then FitBody is for you.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I had spent a few years trying to get fit by doing workouts at home or using the local Council gym. However, I have terrible motivation and when I was doing workouts at home, I would skip bits I couldn't do or was too tired to do.

With the Council gyms, if I didn't have a plan or routine, I'd just work my way around the different machines making up my reps and weights - basically winging it and hardly going. I ended up putting more and more weight on because I didn't know what I was doing and wasn't focusing on nutrition.

I also get bored really easily and if workouts are kept the same for a 4-6 week period before being changed, it's game over for me. I need my brain to be stimulated as much as my body! It was also frustrating if a session was only on once a week and you missed it, then you'd have to wait a whole seven days before doing some exercise again.

So when I joined FitBody and they showed me their timetable I was over the moon! It's so flexible and ensures you don't have any reason to miss a workout. With so many time slots and days to choose from, if you can't do one day, you can try the next and have not missed out.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that each week consists of not one, but two circuits per workout! Amazing! You never know what you're going to be doing and it keeps it interesting and fresh which is so vital for me.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

To keep myself accountable by using the App. Having the app to remind me to stick to my nutrition, drink my water and provide my weekly measurements has been brilliant for me. I'm only 5 weeks in, but I'm so much more consistent with my workouts and I'm keeping track of my food intake. I've not been perfect, but keeping a note of what I'm eating and making sure I have more good days than bad is proving really helpful.

Plus, when I did my progress photos after just four weeks I already saw differences in my body shape! So that spurred me on even more. I'm also grateful to Sam and Scott the FitBody Trainers- they're so welcoming and encouraging and we always have a good laugh during the sessions.

What results did you achieve?

I'm 5 weeks in now and have already lost half a stone which I'm thrilled about. I've lost centimetres off my waist, hips, thighs etc and my body fat % is gradually coming down too.

I've noticed a difference in some of my clothes already and during the sessions my stamina is gradually improving. For example I managed 4 rounds of Mountain Climbers without stopping the other day and could hardly complete one round in my first couple of weeks!

I'm absolutely loving being at FitBody and can't wait to see what new results I achieve!

It wasn't just about losing weight for me, in 2023 I had two major operations, having both my hips replaced. I'd also been on waiting list for 2 years before the first op, so my weight and general health & fitness had deteriorated due to not being able to exercise and being full of painkillers every day.

I was in so much pain I could hardly walk some days. So, once I was fully recovered this year (2024) I wanted to get back to who I was, feel fitter, yes lose weight but also just feel better in myself.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Even though I've not been that many weeks at FitBody, I feel completely different already, I've only lost a few pounds in weight, but I have so much more energy, I feel stronger, clothes fit better and I really feel more alive and like my old self again.

I really enjoy the sessions and the time goes so quickly, I feel proud of myself for sticking to the regime, surprising myself getting up and to session for 7am! and it seems to suit me and my lifestyle, so thank you so much! I'm looking forward to continuing my journey with FitBody.

What results did you achieve?

I know it's probably a cliche, but biggest lesson, believe in yourself, stick with it and keep going, you can do it! I couldn't even do a sit up when I first joined and I remember Scott saying one time, just keep going, keep doing them, it will get easier! Well a bit!
Love it! Thank you 💪

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Since I became full time remote in my work, I realised there would be some days where I didn't leave the house, get exercise or even see other people and I wanted to make changes both for my physical and mental health.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I learned (and continue to learn) that you don't have to slog it out for hours in the gym or doing hours of boring running on a treadmill to see changes. 45 minutes three times a week is manageable for me and I can slot in either before or after work.

I love that the trainers really encourage you to get stronger, fitter and healthier, and keep you on track/provide guidance with your goals without shaming or 'telling you off'.

The other gym goers in the class are friendly, all shapes and sizes and the classes are fun and varied.

What results did you achieve?

I've just started on my second month with FitBody and I feel stronger, healthier and my mental health has improved.

Yes, the scales have come down too (even after a month) but it wasn't as much of a goal for me, it was more that I wanted to feel better and more confident in what I wear and that is definitely happening! I'm looking forward to more sessions! ❤️

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I’m a mother, grandmother, nurse, my life is hectic which you expect to slow down by my age, getting ever closer to retirement age.

I have always loved exercising, the buzz you get when you actually make the effort to commit.

But!!!, life has a way of putting a stop to any extra curriculum activities, cost, time, motivation. I stood in the mirror and decided enough was enough, no more whingeing about my size and shape, I needed to change me, do something about it... Then I came across Fitbody!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I have always been on the slim side until I hit menopause, then my body shape went south so to speak and so did my self image.

I have learnt that my problem was that i needed to solve my mind set, that it doesn’t matter what you see yourself as, you just need to find the part of you that accepts you for who you are. In the early days, it was a lesson in that I had to be committed, nobody can do this for me.

I found that with Nicks unwavering guidance, support that I found a new me. During the early days I was going through an emotional journey regarding my work as a nurse versus covid,
I can honestly say that I am forever grateful for Fitbody, Nick, the team and my fellow gym members for keeping me afloat.

What results did you achieve?

I achieved my goal in weight loss, altered shape and increased stamina, the added bonus for me is that I found this helped me perform as in my work. I am a Surgical First Assistant, which means I work in the operating theatre, assisting the surgeon.

My role requires me to lift heavy limbs, support, during major orthopaedic
surgery. I was not ever going to be told I could not carry out my role because of age and being female, so I had to increase my fitness level.

I have ups and downs with my weight, often due to emotional personal issues,I have been a member for approximately 2/3 years and each time I fall apart I know that I can reach out and find myself.

The fellow gym members are friends, there is never anybody standing there looking like they’ve just walked out of a beauty contest. We are a group of ladies who all wish to maintain a level of fitness that gives us the boost, energy to face each day. We laugh, encourage one another, push us to do far more than we think we can.

I have found that however tired or lethargic I feel, the minute I walk away from the 45 minute session (and yes that’s all), I am buzzing as I know I have battled and shown myself what I am capable of alongside wonderful group of ladies.

I have reached a mile stone of 250 plus sessions, as they say time flies when you’re having fun!!!!.

My only advice for anyone sitting on the sideline is this, sometimes we have to take a leap of faith and just do it, no more excuses just jump in, what have you got to lose!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined Fitbody as I was unhappy with the way I looked and felt about myself. I desperately needed to lose weight and inches. Doctor had also started nagging!!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Going to my first session was really daunting as you have this preconceived idea of what gyms are like, full of thin fit people who are going to look down o you and judge you. How wrong I was!! The last thing I expected was to find a group of women of all ages and sizes who were all there for their own reasons and were so encouraging and supportive - so I'd say that the BIGGEST lesson is that the support around you is not to be underestimated

What results did you achieve?

I'm now in week 5 and can already feel the difference in myself and I'm doing exercise now that I couldn't manage in week 1.

I never thought I'd enjoy leaving home at 5.35am for a 6am session but can honestly say I look forward to it.

For anyone thinking of taking the first step I'd say go for it, they'll find nothing but support and encouragement from everyone and not a judgemental person in sight

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

With the menopause and my advancing years it was becoming apparent that I could no longer carry on eating what I wanted and doing minimal exercise. I was always around 9 stones and I’d never felt the need to keep checking my weight.

My body began developing problem areas, clothes were beginning to feel tight and my bra was getting uncomfortable.

Stepping on the scales confirmed it, I was 9st 13. I started half heartedly looking for a solution, whilst I tried to push the issue to the back of my mind. Meanwhile I began to feel self conscious about certain areas of my body and would pick clothes that would cover up. In my heart of hearts I knew it would mean a fresh look at food and activity.

Eventually I reached a point where I thought enough was enough. I had to step outside my comfort zone. I decided to reduce my intake, cut my portion size and limit snacking. This had immediate results,I lost weight!

I was still resisting any sort of exercise regime as it quite frankly didn’t appeal to me. I did do more walking though. I knew I wanted to be healthier and tone up. Trouble was I didn’t know where to start.

I came across an advert for Fitbody a gym for ladies. I remember thinking that sounded ideal so I enquired- I committed to 28 days not really appreciating what I had signed up for.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Fortunately for me, Fitbody showed me the way, it seemed to be just what I was looking for.

Their comprehensive program looked at what I was eating, looked at my body measurements and suggested a daily calorie allowance.

Obviously then guided me through the targeted exercises with a qualified personal trainer in a group of like minded ladies. I also got access to lots of resources. This is their 28 day challenge!

What results did you achieve?

I have reached the end of my 28 days and have already seen reductions in my measurements, including a further weight loss. For the first time in a few years I have weighed in at 8 stone 13!

Although I have started my journey and lost weight I still feel I have a lot more to do to reach my ultimate goal of being physically fitter, healthier and stronger. That is why I continued on with Fitbody after my 28 day challenge!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I used to train regularly before being pregnant and along with life and getting accustomed to the new normal I left caring for myself behind.

It’s been three years and I needed a change, I needed to stay committed, feel part of a community, carve time out for myself and most importantly to feel energised and healthy in my body!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

That I CAN.

I can get up early and make myself a priority and go to class.

I can push through muscle aches and go back in the next day.

I can be dedicated and committed when I am being held accountable and I am part of a bigger community which is what FitBody feels like to me.

What results did you achieve?

I didn’t fail to go to a single class even when we were under snow and ice I still shovelled my car out to go!

And a few months back I would have said the standard “I don’t have time” and wouldn’t imagine I would be able to stick with it. I went from no training in three years to training 3 times a week! That is an achievement to me! Plus now instead of feeling guilty for taking time for myself I am actually proud of being a good role model to my son to always find ways to be healthy and make good choices for himself too ☺️.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined FitBody to shed some extra weight, build strength & to get into a consistent workout groove. The trainers Nick & Tom + the fellow members are super supportive making it way easier to stick with it & stay pumped about my fitness journey.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The workouts and nutrition tips have helped me pick up some healthier habits that I’m planning to keep up with.

What results did you achieve?

So far, I’ve lost a decent amount of weight, gained some muscle, and feel more energised and confident.

If you’re looking for a fitness program that keeps you accountable, offers expert guidance, and has a great sense of community, FitBody might be just what you need. 💪🏋️‍♂️

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I had been putting on weight slowly over a few years, but recently started to feel very stiff and old in a morning when I got up. I had other health problems developing as well. I realised that I had to do something about it.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I have learned a lot about nutrition. This has enabled me to check my calories and make better choices. The other great thing about FitBody is the other women who go there, everyone has been very helpful and encouraging 🙌

What results did you achieve?

I have started to loose weight and slim down a little but the best thing is I’m feeling fitter and stronger, which was my number one goal. I know it will be a long process to get where I want to be, but I finally found a way to get there, and a program that I can stick to.

Nick and Tommy are great and have helped me to feel confident about training - long may it continue!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Hey my name is Shaine! I joined FitBody recently & have just completed my 20th session. I joined to get myself more in shape & increase my fitness levels.

FitBody has definitely succeeded in doing this, I find I have more endurance now and can also lift heavier weights than when I originally joined.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I’ve learnt whilst being at FitBody is that it isn’t a race or a competition.

The only person you focus on is yourself even though there are other people in sessions with you. It is very easy to compare yourself to others in a classic gym set up but at FitBody everyone supports each other & encourages you to be the best you can be.

What results did you achieve?

Since starting I have not only become fitter but I’ve also lost 20cm around my stomach and various cm in other places on my body. It is super important to not only weigh yourself but measure too. Sometimes the scales don’t show you what you want to see but the measurements definitely will!

I can not recommend FitBody more, every session is different and made fun by the trainers plus you’re getting fit all at the same time.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

After quitting smoking, I developed asthma and put 3 stones on.

I hated what I saw in the mirror, I wanted to feel good about myself and lose the weight but most importantly, for my health I needed the motivation to move off the sofa, stop the binge eating and do some exercise.

I'd become stuck in a rut and needed a lifestyle change.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I've learned is that no matter how old or unfit you are, you can do this- It's tough, don't get me wrong.

The first week I ached badly and struggled with my asthma. I had to stop and catch my breath a few times and even quit a session half way through. I felt a failure, but the trainers really help and are very encourage me do what I can.

If an exercise is too much, there will be a second option to do to make it a little easier. The main thing is, is that I'm there and for that I deserve a pat on the back!

What results did you achieve?

After 4 weeks, I've lost 2.9kgs and 5.5 cm's off my waist -Although it's early days and I still have a long way to go, I feel much better in myself.

I'm getting out of the house and really starting to enjoy it, which I never thought I would ever say.

I'm also sleeping better and found I have more energy, which is an accomplishment in itself

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I wanted to get moving, tone up and find something which would make me feel good, and that I’d commit to.

Yes I wanted to lose some weight but that wasn’t ever going to be my main focus, I had spinal surgery in 2019 and I desperately wanted to return to some form of fitness training that was going to be of benefit.

As with many of us, finding something to stick with has always been a bit of challenge - I have NEVER got bored of FitBody since I joined over 12 months ago, the exercises are varied and the time goes so quickly! Both Nick and Tommy are really encouraging and if ever an exercise doesn’t suit me and the limitations my back sometimes puts on me, there is always another option!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Everyone is so nice and encouraging, a great group of ladies! And that 45 minutes three times a week can make a real difference!

What results did you achieve?

I feel so much fitter, I’m stronger, I have lost inches, my clothes feel better and I’m wearing things I’ve not felt comfortable in for years!

FitBody is part of my weekly routine, it’s a way of life and that’s exactly what I was aiming to achieve.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I’d noticed I’ve been gradually putting weight on for several years. On checking my BMI I was classed as overweight. I want to get back within the ‘healthy weight’ range. I’d stopped exercising as life had just got busy having a young family and I wanted something I could attend regularly and flexibly to get my love of exercise back and feel fitter and healthier.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

it’s easier than you think it’s going to be to get back into exercise. I’d put off going back to doing regular exercise and holding myself accountable to attending something like this regularly. I’d seen the adverts on Facebook for FitBody for several months before I plucked up the courage to make contact. The first week I ached like mad, and was blooming exhausted, but after that it got easier. The trainers were welcoming & approachable. I quickly noticed that the more I was exercising, other healthier behaviours followed.

I wanted to eat better, I was being more productive and had more energy to do other things.

I wish I’d signed up earlier!

What results did you achieve?

I think first and foremost, I’ve just felt better and happier in myself.

It’s given me the kick start I needed and has motivated me to return to playing other sport.

After 4 weeks I’d lost 2kg and 3.5cm from my waist. I’ve definitely not been perfect on the food front but I am trying to make healthier choices that are sustainable for me. I feel well on my way to reaching my weight loss goal and confident I will achieve it and keep it off with the support of the FitBody team.

I personally found the FitBody environment great for me. No ego’s, no mirrors, no gym bravado, just a group of women supporting each other to be fit and healthy.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined FitBody a little over a moth ago with the goal of fitting into my already-bought wedding dress & wanting to become a bit healthier 👰‍♀️

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I've learned is that hard work truly pays off. I've developed better eating habits by watching my calories and planning my meals ahead of time. The key has been finding a balance that allows me to enjoy life without sacrificing my health.

What results did you achieve?

My target was to lose 21lb to fit into my wedding dress, and in just 5 weeks, I've lost an impressive 17lb! 🎊 I'm so close to my goal thanks to Sam and Scott! Moreover, I love the supportive community and don't plan on leaving FitBody even after reaching my goal. It's an amazing place full of friendly and funny ladies where I feel motivated to keep going!

Thanks, FitBody, for helping me become a healthier, happier me!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I have had a tough few years caring for my father before he passed away last year & I found that I'd lost myself a bit.. I joined FitBody because I wanted to bring my self confidence back, both physically & mentally

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I have learnt that it doesn’t matter what shape or size you are , if you put your mind to it you can train your body to do anything.

What results did you achieve?

After my first 4 weeks I have noticed my body toning up aswell as feeling healthier mentally and physically. After class I always come away with a buzz !

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I read a lot about the importance for women’s health of weight and resistance bearing exercises for good bones, muscles and balance especially in our middle years.

A friend had been coming to FitBody and I saw the difference it made to her physique, overall strength and stamina. So I decided to take up the 4 week challenge and give it a whirl.

Here I am, 6 weeks later and I’ve signed up to a membership.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I already feel stronger, fitter and more athletic and as I do the 45 second bursts of exercises, I can feel muscles coming into use that I never knew I had!

I feel it just has to be doing me good, it certainly hasn’t caused any harm.

The trainers, Nick and Tommy are always on hand to make sure that there are no injuries during the exercises.

What results did you achieve?

What I’ve learned is the importance of regular targeted exercise.

But, as someone who’d always given up after the first month’s membership of a gym, I think the reason FitBody works is because it’s 45 minutes, 3 times per week of intense targeted exercise covering upper/lower body and HITT - I like that you turn up, do the class, job done!

Best of all the booking system is flexible and convenient and there are plenty of classes each week at convenient times.

I’m hoping that my exercise can become a routine habit - I’ve yet to get to that point but that’s my aim.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

For a while now I’ve wanted to lose some weight and improve my fitness and strength. Over the years I’ve tried diets and gym programmes and did lose some weight but never seemed to be able to maintain it.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I think the biggest lesson for me so far is how much more motivation you have and how much fun it can be, when you’re all training alongside each other. There’s a great atmosphere amongst everyone and it really makes you want to keep going. 😊

What results did you achieve?

I’m just finishing my 5th week so I’m still at the beginning of my journey but already I’ve seen some results- I’ve lost around 6.5lbs and a few inches here and there too! Can’t wait to see what the next month or two brings. 😊

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined FitBody for more of a challenge with exercise. I was already at the gym but had no idea what exercises to do and wanted something with a quicker pace.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I learned was that it's not about the time or necessarily how hard you exercise but how you use the time you have most effectively.

What results did you achieve?

In the first 2 weeks I had lost 7.5lbs and 14.5 cms over my body, I was so pleased with my results after the first week I wanted to extend it a few more months, I feel so fit and healthy, I can't wait to see what the next few months bring 😊 💪💪

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Hi I'm Gill, I've just completed my first 4 weeks at FitBody & to my own amazement, I've signed up for more!

When I first enrolled I wanted an exercise class that'd keep me motivated. I LOVE the fact that you book in for each session & each time you go it's different...also they have some BRILLIANT playlists- the 45 mins absolutely flys by!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The one thing that I’ve noticed about myself is I don’t say I can’t anymore in relation to some of the exercises I say I’ll try but also as the weeks have progressed I notice that I now can, it’s a brilliant feeling. It’s a lovely atmosphere and everyone is so supportive.

What results did you achieve?

I feel healthier, clothes fit better and actually dare I say it...look forward to a class!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I’m not that bothered about the scales, it was more about getting stronger for me and making healthier choices, making my body fitter.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I have learnt is >> I can do it <<, I can get up and out into the gym at 5:30am. I can lift heavier weights than I thought. I can have a laugh and meet new people as I keep fit.

What results did you achieve?

As well as losing some CM’s from my waist and gaining some around my skinny arms, I feel much more motivated, I have more energy and I’m having more fun than I thought!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Since being at fit body all the sessions have been different every time which I love as this keeps the work out exciting and different, which I've realised is something I enjoy. The trainers Sam and Scott are amazing they are so lovely and helpful as well as making the classes fun

What results did you achieve?

I have already lost weight and inches and it’s actually for the first time... been enjoyable!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I decided to join FitBody because I had put weight on after becoming unwell with my bladder condition in December 2023. I had to completely stop all exercise because it just made me feel worse and I really hate not being able to exercise and keep fit because it's my stress release.

I started feeling better in April 2024, so started back on my fitness journey but really struggled to motivate myself. I saw FitBody and liked the look of the training. Also, I was going on holiday at the end of June 2024 and wanted to look and feel better.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

That you can have fun whilst exercising. Yes I said FUN lol. I love the design of the sessions. They are all very different, no chance to get bored. Sam and Scott are lovely too, which makes a difference. Don't get me wrong they're challenging, but so worth the challenge ☺️

What results did you achieve?

In just four weeks, I lost weight and cm's before my holiday so I was super happy. More importantly I just feel better in myself, more confident, more energised, & just generally happier.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

After having my daughter I got to 6 months postpartum and hadn’t lost that much of my baby weight, tried on some pre-pregnancy clothes and they were very tight 😫 so went looking for a gym and came across fitbody, took the plunge and signed up! Then thought ohh god, what have I done (never been in a gym or done any fitness classes in my life) but it’s the best thing I did!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I’ve learnt so much in a short space of time. Firstly what exercises I can push myself with a little harder and which I need to take more time with. But the biggest lesson I’ve learnt is what I’m eating! Before I just ate what I wanted, when I wanted, but now I think about what I’m eating, what time of day I’m eating things. I’ve always been a woman who loves a slice of cake 🤣 but fitbody has given me the skills to eat balanced meals and portion size!

What results did you achieve?
I’ve achieved a few things in the short time I’ve been going to fitbody, lost a bit of weight, increased my strength and also changed my mindset.
Still have quite a way to go until I’m where I what to be but I know I’ll get there, with the support of everyone at fitbody. We always have a laugh in the sessions and you not doing it alone ☺️

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

After a knee injury and not being able to run, my fitness levels lowered and my weight gained. I miss not running for my physical and mental health and needed something to kick me back on track.

FitBody has got me back on the road to getting fitter and stronger again.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Going to FitBody three times a week for forty five minutes a go, fits in and around my work shifts- there are enough class times to choose from.

The classes are not like some shouty, macho fitness gym classes, everyone goes to have fun and do as much as you physically can.

What results did you achieve?

I’ve always thought that tracking calories was a bit of a faff, especially as most food I eat is made from scratch. However, using myfitness pal has given me a rough estimate to work on.

I’m hoping that going to FitBody will strengthen my legs to be able to get out running again- I will still continue with FitBody for overall fitness and strength.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I decided to join Fitbody because since becoming a mum you kind of put yourself second and never have time for YOU, I was, getting tired very quickly, lack of energy without mentioning my clothes not fitting anymore. So I thought that's it , kids are big now , so you go and look after yourself!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I've learned you can do all the
exercises, even when they seem impossible to your eyes , believe me YOU will do it, and this is because the Fitbody team will adjust it to your needs and everyone else looks after each other.

What results did you achieve?

So far, my scale numbers haven't gone down massively but I don't know how to explain, I just feel lighter and started to feel a difference in the way my clothes fit, my energy levels just seem to be going up every week I come off FitBody sessions with jelly legs but bouncing of the walls 😅.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I hit 50 during the pandemic and like everyone else started to look at life differently- I realised over the years I had developed bad habits with food and found I had lost myself over the years in family life and work. I wanted to rediscover who I was. I saw the post for FitBody one night so I took the plunge and signed up..😬

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Biggest lesson I have learnt so far - feel the fear and do it anyway! You are not the first to reach out and you won’t be the last. And you are never too old to change your mind set or your body. Since joining up I have rediscovered the fun you can have by exercising, the structure and support and in the first month the accountability- did I struggle the first week - YES my legs felt like jelly and I ache in places I didn’t know existed.

Looking back I can see how far I have come in such a short space of time.

What results did you achieve?

My initial thought was I would drop a dress size in 28 days and feel great in reality my weight has not changed but my body shape has. I feel fitter, my clothes fit better and I have more energy. I have never calorie tracked before but the advice and guidance did make me look at what I was eating and when.

The sessions have been fun and are flexible to fit into my lifestyle, there is really no excuse for not attending. Everyone attending the groups are friendly and even though we are all at different levels of fitness and abilities the exercises are the same so we are able to work together as a team.

My journey has only just started it’s still early days but I am finding that you definitely get back what you put in.

I joined FitBody to reignite my weight loss and fitness journey. I'd lost my way a bit & I knew I needed a more structured program and guidance, which FitBody provides in abundance.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I've learnt so far is that even when pushing myself, exercising can be fun & doesn't need to be excruciating when delivered in the right way!

What results did you achieve?

So far, I have dropped a dress size and have seen a huge improvement in my fitness and strength which has made me really happy. Surprisingly, I no longer see "exercise" as something I need to do but want to do, and I look forward to each session!

About 4yrs ago I was diagnosed with diabetes and at 12st and at 5ft 2ins I was classed as obese so something had to be done and soon. I joined a diet club and slowly started losing weight bit not quick enough for me. More about that later*

I needed to find a gym that had the correct fitness level I was looking for. I went to several but they were too lame for me, didn't push me mentally or physically. A friend of mine suggested I try FitBody in Hadley so I booked an induction appointment and met Nick. A class was being held so I had a peak gosh it looked frightening and hard, did it put me off....no the opposite I was eager to get started so I signed up there and then.

Am I making a mistake (I thought) only time will tell.....

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

When I started FitBody I found that everyone was at different levels of fitness, this put me at ease as I couldn't lift as easily as the rest of the women, "just go at your own pace" I was told how good was that, and here I am still lifting building up strength now and 3st lighter

Will I leave FitBody...No!!!!! Will I go again tomorrow....Yes!!! Will I be stiff in the morning...Yes but not for long, and as an old bird of 72yrs young I'm not going anywhere soon, I love the gym and always leave smiling. That's what FitBody is all about, finding fitness and being healthy, time in training is not a problem, don't rush and you'll get there. I did.. I'd like to say a big Thank You to Nick, Scott, Natalie and Instructors past for helping me, Nick for signing me up in the first instance and not forgetting Nash.

What results did you achieve?

I've achieved a lot through FitBody, fitness levels have shot up and I've a lot more energy to boot. I always leave a class tired and energised with a grin on my face as do all the women, it's great to see, the camaraderie is fantastic.

*I couldn't lose the weight quickly enough and couldn't get my head around the science of what I could eat, I'm a veggie and couldn't find many recipes to fill me up, I hated pulses but with FitBody they gave me tools to understand more about nutrition, fats, protein and carbs in a way I could comprehend easily, the tutorials are good for this, I quickly got into the mindset and even eating pulses and started to learn how different foods work for different muscles etc there's always something new to read, there's also loads of recipes too.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

An hysterectomy at the end of July 23 left me with no core strength and feeling very unfit.

I had put on weight from 4 months of rest and recovery.

I’d convinced myself that I didn’t need to lose weight and that I was happy with my body shape. I was in menopause and weight gain was “normal” for women of my age (51). I just needed to exercise to get my core strength back again.

I didn’t realise at the time but I was in denial about my weight.

I was making excuses because it was so hard to lose the weight. I think Nick recognised this because he persuaded me to join FitBody and sign up to accountability for December.

I wasn’t convinced and I know I wasn’t an easy sale but I am very grateful that he persevered and got me to sign up.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

FitBody taught me to be accountable for the food I ate and the workouts I planned.

It taught me what to eat using the science behind weight loss and the number of calories to eat to maintain a calorie deficit. It taught me to plan my meals ahead. It taught me to drink plenty through the day and to get a good nights sleep. It also taught me to take body measurements and progress photos rather than relying on the scales solely for weight loss (I still find this one difficult!)

It also taught me that it’s far better to do my workouts first thing in a morning and just get them done, no excuses!

What results did you achieve?

3 months of accountability and I’ve dropped a dress size, lost 13lbs and can now fit into my “thin” clothes.

My body shape has changed and I’ve lost inches on my waist, thighs and across by chest.

I’ve got my core strength back and I can see the muscle definition in my legs, I’ve started running again but more than anything, I love going to the FitBody classes, the friends I’ve made and the support I get.

I’ve made a lifestyle change for the long term and it feels great!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined Fitbody as part of my 2024 Bucket List to lose 2.5- 3 stone that I’d put on over the last few years through developing bad habits relating to food and beverages and yo-yo dieting.

I needed to re-set and move forward with my long term goal of living well for longer.

Waking up everyday and not recognising the person looking back at me in the mirror was depressing and deflating and I found myself caught up in an eternal downward spiral.

So I joined up and my first session was on New Years Day 2024. Everything was clearly set out on joining up and the apps to log my progress and food intake and booking the fitness sessions were straightforward.

There was advice and info on understanding nutrition and I was welcomed when I joined the Facebook Group where there are lots of resources.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

What I quickly learned is how I could utilise two hours of my day before work that I hadn’t previously. No more talking myself out of a training session because of a bad day at work or because I would be late sitting in traffic for an evening session.

I also learned that simple meal planning and preparation is key to reaching my target.

What results did you achieve?

I’m in 6.5 weeks with almost a stone shed, that is more of a result than the last 3 years of wasted effort produced.

With guidance, encouragement, weekly accountability and support from Nick and Tommy I’m already well on track to achieving what was before, a remote possibility.

I can see and feel the difference in myself already, I like the reflection looking back at me now, my hair and skin is better because of healthy eating, I’m getting stronger and more toned due to the training.

I feel pretty smug when I’ve completed a session, because I know it’s out of the way before most have got out of bed.

It’s so much fun, there is a great community spirit with the ladies I train with who are really friendly and we spur each other on.

Joining Fitbody was the best decision and has helped kick off a fantastic year!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I lost a lot of weight a few years ago but I have put 3 stones back on in as many years since starting HRT.

I have some lovely clothes that I cannot fit into
, and I feel sad wearing the same shapeless coveralls that have crept back into the wardrobe through necessity -I want to look and feel good again in my clothes!

I had a very difficult year last year with losing my
Dad. I didn’t look after myself and got back into some very bad habits, including eating more, drinking too much and moving less. I needed to address that pronto!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

It’s easy to commit when you are enjoying what you are doing.

I had a gym membership for years and I never went, but I didn’t cancel it because I told myself I would! There was no accountability, nobody cared whether I attended or not, it was solitary. Nobody checked in on me, I just had my own conscience to deal with and beat myself up constantly for not attending.

I never thought I was a fan of group exercise as I always felt self-conscious and that all the other participants were fitter than me. At Fitbody I don’t feel that at all! We are all at different levels of fitness and ability, but can all do the same training by using different weights, more resistance or tweaking a move to make it harder……. and most importantly it’s great FUN!!!

What results did you achieve?

It’s very early days for me having only joined Fitbody 6 weeks ago, but I already feel fitter, and have more energy. Weight loss for me is slow (blaming menopause!) but another plus is that my posture feels better and the back ache I always woke up to has gone. My partner says I’m just more positive, my ‘get up and go’ is back and I am glowing…how lovely!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I was looking for somewhere that was a bit of me....finally I found a group that i feel comfortable and safe with, I moved from Hampshire 3 years ago having done a lot of strength fitness and then had some injuries that have taken a while to mend and are still sensitive.

The gyms I have used so far up here have just not been right a bit soul-less 🫥

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Natalie and Scott are really interactive and make sure you are looked after checking you are doing the exercises correctly both with added fun humour, so I'd say that the BIGGEST thing is technique

What results did you achieve?

After 3 weeks I already feel I'm on the right track health wise with exercise and nutritional advice. I'd thoroughly recommend trying this to anyone & I'm looking forward to seeing a happier healthy me!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Wanted to regain my confidence in a gym environment as I have not been able to exercise recently due to health reasons. I was gaining weight & felt like I was losing body tone and muscle.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Joining FitBody has motivated and given me confidence that I can work out at my own level. The coaches have been great adjusted and adapted the exercises to meet my individual ability whilst still being challenging. No two sessions are the same which helps the mind body and co-ordination on its toes!!

What results did you achieve?

For me so far it’s given me back my mojo! Future goals - weight loss, energy, strength 💪

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

The initial problem was weight, I needed to lose some. Then I realised that by doing the training I am also getting toned, and the best bit is I'm feeling a lot better in myself which is a massive bonus!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest thing I've learned to date is to be accountable for what I eat, I've got to take ownership of that job.

What results did you achieve?

The results so far I have lost weight and I'm confident that I will continue to do so, I am also feeling generally fitter and more toned.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I wanted to increase my fitness levels I was getting breathless during the physical side of my job and knew I had to change things. I also had recently lost a stone in weight and wanted to tone up and keep it off

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Self confidence - I’d never of attended a gym or even gone to a session on my own in the past. I’m glad I pushed my boundaries and on walking through that door the first time to be greeted with friendly faces and helpful trainers I realised I had nothing to worry about. I was initially only planning to do the 28 day programme, but have enjoyed the ever changing sessions and the trainers helping you (more often than not in my case 😂 - my coordination leaves a lot to be desired) and have now signed up for membership.

What results did you achieve?

 • I didn’t know I couldn’t do sit ups 😂 - I can now!!
 • I feel fitter
 • I can wear clothes that were hiding in the back of the wardrobe
 • I feel more confident in myself

Still can’t believe I walked through that door on my own at the beginning of December - But I am so glad I did.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Joining FitBody I really wanted to get my fitness level back up after having a couple months break from working out. My goal is to lose roughly 1.5 stone to get back to a weight I feel comfortable with.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Everyone is on their own journey. STOP focusing purely on what the scales say (which I have spent years obsessing over) measurements are equally as important and rewarding. And protein is key 😋

What results did you achieve?

Although I still have a long way to go my fitness has improved already. I have also lost pounds and inches which is incredible 💪🏼

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I had got myself in an unhealthy routine with my diet and lost motivation for exercise since returning to work after maternity leave.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Not to feel self conscious or anxious about attending a fitness class on your own and to just go with it and push myself out of my comfort zone. I used to run to keep fit and maintain my weight, but I would get bored and find it hard to motivate myself; the group classes are really enjoyable and being with others helps to keep pushing myself. Each class has new exercises and routines which keep it fresh and enjoyable.

What results did you achieve?

Within the first 2 weeks I lost 6cm from my waist and 3kg. I feel like I have more energy, my mood is lifted and I am more positive in my outlook. I have definitely become more flexible and my strength is increasing

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

By coming to FitBody I was hoping to increase my upper body strength and core and tone up. I was keen to strengthen my core and muscles as I have osteopenia so wanted to avoid problems in the future.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson is PATIENCE. You can’t see results overnight but with the help and guidance of the trainers you can begin to see that it works.

What results did you achieve?

I can now lift heavy objects without having to struggle (stacks of chairs!)
5 months in and my measurements have reduced even though I thought they hadn’t! I didn’t measure for a month or two to see.
I am now able to do sit ups which were a challenge, my next goal is planks!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

> My Fitbody <

Firstly, I would like to say joining Fitbody was the best decision I have made.

I have spent my entire life on a diet, every fad diet, various slimming clubs and various questionable
diets pills and meal replacements.

I wouldn’t say I never had some success but it was a lifelong unsustainable circle of yoyo dieting that always resulted in me being back where I started or worse.

One of my biggest issues was body dysmorphia and no matter what size or weight I was I still saw a fat person in the mirror.

I have been a gym member for many years and tried classes, spin and gym programs but the
enthusiasm never lasted long.

So I ask myself what has changed?

I was on holiday in Lanzarote in September last year and had seen the Fitbody program on Facebook before going. While on holiday I made the decision to sign up for a 4-week program - my first class was October 3rd 2022, I honestly thought I would do 4 weeks only and then continue back at my regular gym.

I can remember turning up feeling a little nervous and apprehensive but was instantly welcomed by both Scott and all the ladies at every class I went to. I committed to the program and attended all classes. With trepidation I followed the nutritional advice concerned by the amount of food I was consuming as my yoyo past had been eating and starving.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Where am I now?

I have completed over 100 sessions aiming for 200.

I have never felt so confident in my body shape and have completely lost the mind set of “the fat girl in the mirror".

I enjoy food following the fabulous guidelines that Fitbody have instilled in me without feeling guilty about eating which is a massive breakthrough.

Every class is different and the attention from the coaches to get the technique right not only gets
the results but makes it safe and achievable.

The ladies I meet help make me feel motivated. Whether I have a day when I just want to get it done and not really talk to anyone or a day where the chatter and the giggles make it all the more fun, I always look forward to the next class.

I keep a regular routine in my classes but the flexibility of booking different times/days makes it easy to plan into the week.

What results did you achieve?

After 4 weeks I felt amazing, loads more energy, sleeping well and already losing weight but my
biggest delight was I could actually see a change in my strength and body shape.

I have now made Fitbody part of my life, the change in my mindset, body shape and confidence are invaluable.

I thank everyone involved and look forward to making more friendships and continuing to achieve
these amazing results.

After having chemo/radiotherapy I lost a lost of muscle strength. Being with Fitbody has seen me progress with weights, in 6 weeks I've gone from struggling with 3kilo to a 5 kilo. Feel pretty proud with that.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I've learned that strength training is important for weight loss.

What results did you achieve?

I'm getting stronger, my arms are leaner and I'm getting my butt back. The wobble is slowly being replaced by firm muscle..

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Being post menopausal at 61 and with a history of osteopenia I realised I needed to build up core and bone strength to avoid osteoporosis which my mother had. I also wanted to tone up as weight gain at my age is common due to drop in oestrogen levels.

FitBody is the ideal setting to help as the groups are small, the trainers have a very good knowledge of nutrition and resistance training, they give you guidance on your technique to avoid injury during the exercises.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I learnt that you need to take the classes are your own pace as going too hard too fast will leave you sore and unable to enjoy the sessions. The nutrition advice from the trainers in person or on the members Facebook page is interesting and makes you look at your “journey” in a different way. The need to look after your body to enable you to have a healthy life ahead is important, it’s important to avoid the possibility of developing heart disease, diabetes etc which may shorten the “journey”

What results did you achieve?

I have only being attending about 6 weeks but already I feel stronger. I had very little upper body strength so being able to lift heavier items now proves I have built up the strength.

I have changed my mindset towards foods, I try to avoid sugars and increase protein which hopefully long term will be beneficial.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

My main problem was that I had been a yo-yo dieter since my twenties, I am now in my fifties (And feeling amazing!)

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I joined FitBody to get fit and lose weight… it shouldn’t have been a surprise but light bulb moment…!! It absolutely works!

Faddy diets might work short term however planning meals and as long as you are in calorie deficit the weight will come off, I now have a very varied healthy diet making sensible food choices .. nothing is forbidden and I don’t feel deprived!

What results did you achieve?

I want to now maintain my weight and stay fit as I get older, I have more energy nowadays too which I put down to regular exercise.

...I wish I’d found FitBody years ago!

I was/am looking to drop some weight and gain some strength/stamina to help with my hiking. I needed a push to get some motivation and it has certainly done that!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Remembering how much I love being in this type of fitness environment and looking after myself with some excellent recipes in the menu books.
I've never considered women only gym, being in mixed gym never bothered me. BUT.. it is suiting me so much better. Lovely, lovely people laughing while working hard.

What results did you achieve?

So far lost about 4cm from around waist and a couple from thigh. Aside from measurements and weight I feel so much better for doing regular, well organized and effective classes.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined FitBody as i have been into weightlifting etc for about 4/5 years now but i like the direction and encouragement of a class environment, so my friend introduced me to you guys as the range of class times is amazing & really works with my life as a busy hospice nurse/wife/mom/nan.

I had got out of the habit of training which in turn had meant that also my Crohn's was kicking my butt and fatigue etc crippling me - I 100% know being active helps keep my chronic disease in check!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

At FitBody i have learned to commit to 3 sessions a week and that i deserve that time for me out of my busy hectic life!

What results did you achieve?

Already in my first month i have dropped over half a stone & got back into my size 10 jeans that have evaded me for 6 months!! So i know by my holiday in August i will be feeling confident and fab again!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I wanted to do more strength training. I’d tried doing bits at home on YouTube, I’d also been a member of a gym. This was all ok for a couple of weeks but I found that “when it was too tough or hard” I would resort back to classes and my running- which is mostly all cardio. I knew, due to my kind little brother who is in the fitness industry, that i needed to do strength training due to my age and menopause and that it would also aid my weight loss.

I’d never been a “fan” of the weight section of the gym and so I scouted about and found Fitbody and I am so pleased I did.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I’ve learnt that it’s not all about weight loss, measurements are fabulous! I haven’t lost much weight as yet but it’s early days and I’d already lost 10lb through cutting out rubbish and going on HRT.

But seeing the difference in my starting measurements with Fitbody, and also the pictures is a HUGE motivator for me! I’ve noticed clothing feeling loose and people are noticing too.

What results did you achieve?

I’ve lost centimetres off my bust, arms, thighs and waist- best being my waist!
I haven’t lost much weight at all but i have Crohn’s Disease which makes eating fruit and vegetables difficult, along with any fibre. I’m not worried at all though, I feel stronger, fitter and a little more confident. My running has improved too- I have more endurance and the speed is picking up too.

I wanted to gain strength through minimal weight loss and toning to continue a heavy physical job that I love for as long as I can. I’ve struggled for a while with shoulder pain and back pain mainly through bad posture but arthritic changes too. I didn’t want to diet as I eat in my opinion healthily anyway but needed to learn how to find the balance.

That it is about me and not the opinions or results of others. I learned that I was part of a group with each person having different realistic! Goals . No need to keep up with a pack just to work at my pace.

Over 7 weeks I’ve lost 4cm on my waist without giving up anything. I’m more toned and stronger all over. More importantly I feel mentally more alert and confident. I don’t mind admitting I’ve struggled with anxiety periodically all my life but to walk into this gym is easy.

I’ve made friends and genuinely had the best fun.

This is the longest I’ve stuck with a training programme and don’t intend stopping anytime soon.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I told everyone including myself that I wanted to be fitter, this was in part true.

But really I think I wanted to lose weight - at least a stone.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

It was not the one I thought it’d be.

I thought I’d learn how to get fitter.

This was obvious actually: More exercise; fewer calories. Deep down of course I knew this. What I actually learnt was unexpected:

 • How much Nick’s words “Ten seconds more” motivate me – I don’t believe in leaving it in the tank. If I have ten seconds to go, I’m going for it. When you’re exercising on your own, you don’t get this.

 • How bad I am at following instructions. Really bad. For someone who loves dance classes, I am exceptionally bad at physically copying what Nick is doing and often have to be shown several times. Slowly – but he’s patient. It astounds me how bad I am at this, every time!

 • How much having companions helps me try hard.

 • How much one-to-one focus makes me work – I realise it’s not one-to-one but the classes are small enough that I know that when I’m not doing something right, I will receive Nick’s support needed to put that right

 • What calories were in the foods I loved. I’m not stupid – I know certain things contain more calories – but really not how much more. I didn’t know that by swapping from a sausage bap and a large cappuccino in Starbucks to a bacon bap and a large Americano, that I’d save nearly 400 calories – and I’m not that fussed either way. Not a great sacrifice – so an easy swap, but before using the App, I didn’t know the difference it made. By having Prosecco instead of a pint of cider, I could have a whole lot more of it – who knew?!!

 • That I shouldn’t halve meals with my partner who is 6 foot 4 (Im 5 foot 2!) – we should eat in proportion

 • Also, I really focussed previously on the high impact exercise – gym exercise, heavy cardio etc - without understanding the value of getting my steps in. Just walking the dog further each day. Or running with her.

What results did you achieve?

I exceeded my weight loss goal (and not just weight loss but reduction of size of thighs, waist etc) and gained the respect of my family, my friends and more importantly myself for picking a goal and exceeding it.

I exceeded my goal in less than three months, and because it taught me rather than just starving myself to exercise more wisely and eat more sensibly, I will be able to stick with it in the long run.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I had become a “couch potato” I have a job where I can be sat at my desk for long periods of time, I would then come home and sit on the couch. I had noticed that I was no longer running up the stairs in work and walking up them I would be out of breath. My grandson would ask me to play football with him and I would decline and ask him to get his grandad to do it as I couldn’t be bothered. My weight had slowly increased too the more inactive I became and that was getting me down.

My dad had needed stomach surgery and they said his recovery would be good and quick because he was so fit, I felt ashamed that my 81 year old dad was fitter than I was.

That was the push that I needed to actually stop moaning about how fatigued I felt and to do something about it, I just didn’t know what to do or what to start first. Did I look at joining a slimming club or a gym? Neither really appealed to me as I hadn’t enjoyed the gyms that I had been a member of previously and I was feeling demotivated before I had even started.

I am sure my phone listens to me moan as I then saw a post on Facebook about FitBody. I could get nutritional advice and exercise it seemed like a no-brainer.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

That I am my own worse enemy.

I was so anxious about what other people might have thought about me or my jiggly bits that I didn’t want to attend most of my first week’s exercise sessions. I hadn’t done many things on my own and I was so nervous attending my first session that I nearly didn’t attend.

In the first few weeks I was also aware that the weights I was selecting were all the lightest ones and I felt guilty about it, I overthought every exercise that I did and I was convinced that I was doing it all wrong.

The girls and Nick were lovely and I quickly relaxed and realised that no one but me cared about any jiggly bits, or which weights I select, everyone is focused on their own goals and achievements whilst still being really supportive to each other. I’ve even started to lift heavier weights now as I built up gradually and I’m glad that I didn’t let my negative feelings and anxiety stop me doing something that I am really enjoying.

What results did you achieve?

My level of fitness has increased massively, I’m back to running up the stairs in work without being breathless, I can play football in the garden with my grandson. I have lost some weight and toned up, the jiggly bits aren’t that jiggly!

I’ve also realised that my mood has improved, I am a lot happier and more positive (even about myself). I’m loving food again and all the new recipes that have become available to me.

The biggest result for me though is the fact that the rest of the family have seen what a positive effect it has had on me and they have all joined a gym and started to eat healthier.

I’m only in my second month and I’m really excited about what I can achieve next.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I came to FitBody because basically I'd lost my mojo. I got really fit during lockdown, cycling loads whilst working from home so I had a much better work life balance. I didn't even notice the weight piling back on when I went back into the office & I stopped cycling (I'm still annoyed at myself, believe me) & I tried many many times to get back into it. Diet, exercise, do something, but nothing worked, everything felt like hard work & I wasn't getting results, so inevitably I gave up. A friend then told me about FitBody, sang Nick's praises, said it was enjoyable & to be fair, she looked bloody amazing! I signed up.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I've learnt is that if you actually keep a track of what you eat (not necessarily calorie count because I know that can be triggering for some people), you start to naturally become more aware of what you're putting into your body on a daily basis & start to make changes to make better choices. Add into that the exercise, which is all massively enjoyable, fun & doesn't feel like hell on earth, you actually start to feel better in yourself even before you start to see results. The results are then just the cherry on top.

What results did you achieve?

I've managed to lose inches & weight (I'm less focussed on weight as I know it isn't a true representation, women can fluctuate loads just on a monthly basis & muscle weighs more than fat etc) in a relatively short amount of time & without killing myself in a gym or living on lettuce. More than that though, my confidence has grown. I feel better in my own body. I genuinely enjoy exercising. And I can keep at it. Win win win win win! Nick is bloody fab, I would recommend him/FitBody to anyone. He's focussed, he's fun, he wants you to achieve & yes, if he spots a competitive streak he totally plays up to that (but hey, that works for me!) I'm so glad I joined & I'll definitely be staying 😊

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined FitBody last month because i have struggled with my weight for a decade. I decided if i don't start doing something about it now, i probably never will.My weight has effected my life in so many ways, health, confidence, choice of clothes, my entire personality has changed to fit round my weight.I would love to be healthier and less self conscious.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Since joining FitBody, i have discovered I'm not alone! There are some lovely ladies that offer support and tips throughout the sessions.
The instructors are very knowledgeable, they clearly enjoy what they do.
And the 45 mins goes so quickly.

What results did you achieve?

In my first month, i have lost 3kg and changed shape.
So although it's very much out of my comfort zone, and has clearly shown me how unfit i am. I have really benefited from my first 4 weeks and it's the start of the new me! (very cheesy.)

I felt I was READY, I wanted to lose some weight and improve my overall fitness, I wanted a better feeling of well being

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

That exercise is so much more than ‘for results’, it not only helped with my general fitness but also your mind. And of course the nutrition element too, oh & it’s really invigorating!

What results did you achieve?

I have achieved weight loss and a greater understanding of nutrition I also have sooo much more energy

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

After having a disc fusion in 2018 and being left with constant pain and lack of flexibility. I was looking at ways to strengthen my body and help reduce the pains. I have been a member of a gym for a few years and use to swim a few times a week to help with my stiffness and lack of flexibility but I found this was not enough. I lacked motivation and was not pushing myself. After chatting to Nick, Fitbody seemed a good way to increase my strength and flexibility.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I was wary attending my first class, thinking can I do this? Will the class be full of young, slim fitness women? But I found that all shapes and sizes attended. And not only did I do it but I enjoyed it as well. The biggest thing I’ve learnt at Fitbody is that everyone is different and have different abilities and the classes are not just about getting fit but also to increase strength. Jon and Scott will always encourage and motivate me and also adjust the exercise if it’s something I can’t do due to me not having the flexibility in my lower back.
Previously if I was attending a fitness class I could always find an excuse not to go but now I plan my week around the classes and after completing a class I feel a big achievement and think ‘yes I’ve done it’!

What results did you achieve?

Biggest result so far is a noticeable increase in my leg strength. I can now walk upstairs like an adult! 😀. My husband said to me I move around differently, I asked him what he meant and he said you move with ease and less stiffness. I was well happy that he could see the results I have achieved so far at Fitbody. 😀Also my weight has decreased and although I’ve got a long way to go, I know what I want to achieve and I know I will get there with the help and support I’m getting from Fitbody.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

With shielding due to severe asthma, I had put on so much weight. I then started a job working from home, so I'm sat down 8 hours a day. I had become the biggest I've ever been in my life and hated the way I looked. I knew I had to do something about it for me, but also my 19 year marriage.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I've learned is that I do need to eat, to help with my exercise and weightless. I've also learned that I actually look forward to the sessions. Possibly not so much with regards to HIIT, but I'm sure that once my fitness levels are up, I'll be loving that too.

What results did you achieve?

I'm blown away with my results. I didn't change in weight for the first week however, the second week I had a whopping 11Ib loss! I was over the moon but I had also been walking and trying to jog, In between my sessions.

Not only that but my body shape has completely changed already. My boobs are more toned, my arms have baby muscles and my jawbone is noticeably prominent. Even my large bum has definition. I've not only lost weight, I've lost inches and I've lost that negative feeling I had of myself.

This is part of my life now and I'm not giving it up. I can't wait to see the difference, over the next few months.
🙏

I'm eternally grateful to Nick. He's amazing in his field and I highly recommend him as your personal trainer. He helps push you, he knows when you're struggling, he will adjust to your needs and he's an all round lovely guy.

Thank you so much Nick, you've literally changed my life.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I was stuck in a rut following the lockdowns and the shift to working from home full time. I had put on weight and was feeling sluggish and unhealthy and just generally low.

I was looking to join a gym but knew that I would struggle with the motivation to go especially without guidance on what weights to use or how to train. I spoke to a friend who mentioned that she went to FitBody classes where you train 3 times a week with a group and it sounded like something which would help motivate me. I have now been attending classes for about 6 weeks and I’m really enjoying the workouts!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Consistency is key! Personally, I’m not looking for a quick fix to dramatically lose lots of weight, for me it is more about making a change to live a healthy lifestyle. I wanted something that would fit into my life but help enhance it. As a busy mum I like routine and being able to plan and as there are lots of session times to chose from either in the morning or in the evening I can book my 3 sessions a week in advance and I feel motivated to go. I have found that being consistent with my work outs and eating a healthier diet has got me results!

What results did you achieve?

The pounds are coming off and I’ve lost 4cm from my waist, but it’s not just the difference on the scales I have seen, also my mood has improved which in turn makes me want to eat a healthier diet and make better food choices. I never used to like cooking dinner, it used to be such a chore, but my family have noticed that I cook a lot more meals from scratch now following recipes and I do actually enjoy meal planning and cooking now!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I have been signed up with fitbody for a second month now, i needed to get some motivation back as I had lost my enthusiasm for exercise after 2 years of doing none and a big operation. I hated my body shape my tummy was flabby and had no strength, and i felt like i needed a bra for the front and back!! i wanted to wear tops tucked in to my jeans i was fed up of wearing oversized tops to hide my jelly belly!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I have definitely learned that i need to exercise and not just eat less that the two work in harmony. I have even begun to enjoy exercising again, and the beauty of fitbody is that it doesn’t feel like a chore as nick keeps it fresh every session. I love how it is personal and i actually feel like i’m training and using every part of my body not just the usual gyms where you do a flat out 45 minutes of cycling or lifting then feel like vomiting after 😂

What results did you achieve?

So far i have lost 9 lbs in 8 weeks and feel motivated and stronger. My relationship with food is improved and i don’t deny myself of treats. I have made small adjustments (cut out sugar from my hot drinks.. simple!) eat more fruit and snack less. I have more confidence in my clothes and have even started tucking my tops in to my jeans .. result!! Next step a nice belt 🤣

Nick is so easy to talk to and gives good advice and support, he explains every work station in the gym and helps you to make adjustments to your posture or technique if your struggling. He’s a great motivator if your having an off week.

I’m still aiming to improve my abdominal shape and tone it’s work in progress but with commitment, focus and fitbody to support my goal i’m well on my way.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I have always had trouble with my weight and fitness, and (like so many of us) I really let things slide over the last year or so with the pandemic. I had been feeling low and a bit miserable when thinking about my body image. I have been wanting to make some real changes for a while, at which point I saw an ad for FitBody, so it felt like the right time to try something new

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

It's so much fun! Okay, so it's a lot of hard work, and of course I have learned a lot about nutrition and how to exercise well, but the most important aspect for me has been the opportunity to take some time completely just for myself; it's amazing how that influences the rest of my day/week. I go to the 6am classes mostly, and it really sets up my day, boosts my mood and makes me more productive at work

What results did you achieve?

I have lost a bit of weight, but more than anything I am feeling fitter and more motivated to keep going. This has rapidly become a part of my week that I look forward to- something I never thought I would say about exercise!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Nooowwwww & again we shut our pie-hole long enough to hear from some of our amazing clients, meet Gail Hughes & here’s her story…

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody Gail?

I came to Fitbody to get mentally and physically fit, following a life altering event.

The event stripped me back to my bare bones in the literal sense, I lost weight through the trauma, but I also lost a sense of who I was as a person.

I wanted to challenge my mind and my body and get to my best physical fitness.

I have always been a glass half full kind of person, but when something life changing happens it really makes you re evaluate what’s important in life, and there is nothing more important than your own health and wellness.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I have learned is to embrace the challenges, as it’s in those challenging moments you dig deep and grow in mind, body and spirit.

The second lesson, which I never thought I would say is how fun these classes are, I never thought I would love exercise as much as I love these classes but I do! The fitness instructors are brilliant in changing the routines every class so it never gets boring.

Hands down I have gained a new love.

What results did you achieve?

The results I achieved in the 28 day challenge was a loss of 2.6kgs and 10cm off my waist, I have better mental clarity, the happy hormone definitely kicks in after a session at Fitbody, this sets me up for the daily challenges and obstacles of running multiple businesses.

So here’s to building on the foundations set so far and setting my own personal goal to get fit enough to do a whole HIIT class at full pelt 😉.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I moved to Shrewsbury 3 weeks before the first lockdown, was happy with my weight and fitness level, however, 18 months on, 11lbs heavier, with a bigger love for takeaways than I should, I was in a vicious circle which I couldn’t seem to break.

I knew it was time to get serious and sort myself out. I was nervous about going to the traditional style gym and had said to friends ‘I wish there was a place available which was for women only’.

Then along comes an advert from FitBody, twice I completed the form but backed out at the last minute, until my Husband said DO IT!

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I thought that exercising three times a week was going to be the miracle cure to losing weight and getting fit and obviously it is working, however, I am having to retrain my way of thinking with food, as this is definitely the most important thing, getting right what you are eating is the biggest part of getting fit and losing weight.

What results did you achieve?

In the first 4 weeks I lost 5lbs and 6cms from my waist, my shape has changed, but the biggest change for me is how much better I feel mentally, I feel I’ve got my mojo back and have surprised myself with how much I love the classes. I’ve decided I do have a beach body in me somewhere and hopefully I will find it sooner rather than later!

Big thanks to Nick too as he knows his stuff and can help adjust certain exercises to fit your ability and my dodgy knees!

You just never know what you will be doing at each class as they are so varied.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody Mica?

I joined FitBody as I had tried running and countless YouTube workouts and was frustrated with the lack of results. FitBody was/ is just the push I needed to work back towards my pre lock size! It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made….I’ve enjoyed (as well as gained the confidence) to work out in a group.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I’ve learnt to make better decisions with food.

What results did you achieve?

I’ve finally started to shift weight and feel like I’m working towards my goal of feeling better about myself. Thanks Nick…it’s been an amazing journey so far!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined FitBody July this year as I was looking to lose the weight I had gain after being pregnant and also since being in lock down and working from home I had really lost who I was. For me it was also about gaining self confidence but was looking for long term goals not short term goals.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I’ve learnt is that fitness, food and focus can be fun and when doing all three you will see results. I always struggled with the food part but since joining fitbody I have really enjoyed this part and have a much better understanding on how to do all 3 activities in a safe and effective way.

What results did you achieve?

In the 28 days I have lost 9lbs and my shape has definitely changed. I am feeling fitter than I was, which I’m really pleased about. I have alot more energy and feel much happier.
The programmes we do 3 times a week are really good, and each session is different which is great as I found when I have done classes in the gym the routine is always the same. I love that you get push in the sessions as well as the instructor making sure you are using the right technique.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

My constant yo yo dieting and weight gain which had got out control during the lockdowns

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

That I can enjoy exercise even when it’s hard !

What results did you achieve?

7.5lb loss in first month. Learnt how go calorie count.

However the biggest result has been to my mental health. I have barely had any bouts of depression and my anxiety has massively decreased since starting this programme. I’ve never found it easy to go to classes alone but there was something about these classes which clicked with me. The ladies who go are so friendly the instructors make you laugh but also give you great encouragement when you feel you can’t keep going. This has been an absolute life changer for me and I cannot shout loud enough how good this programme is. I’m sleeping I’m losing weight I’m getting fit I’m using my inhaler less. I never thought I’d sign back up after the 28 days but now I can’t imagine my life without these classes. It’s been a complete lifestyle changer for the better.

Ps I genuinely cannot thank you enough for this programme it’s really made my life so much better I was so close to resorting to taking tablets to deal with my mental health so glad I did this instead

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I wanted to lose weight after putting it on over lockdown and couldn't get into any classes I liked at the gym, then FitBody popped up and I thought id give it ago!

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Biggest lesson is exercise is fun when you're doing it with like minded people! I also realised how much I'd missed exercise for my mental well-being!

What results did you achieve?

I lost 8 lbs in the first month and have signed up to carry on attending as I enjoy it so much, I even got a friend to join and she is benefitting from it too.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

During lockdown, fitness hasn’t taken priority and I wanted to get into an all-round routine that fitted in with work and other commitments.Life threw some tough cards a few years ago and I am very aware of how precious life is. Crucially, I wanted to find a way of keeping fit that I would enjoy, look forward to and most of all, maintain! (In particular, I wanted to try to address the ‘menopausal middle’ and build strength in my core which seemed non-existent)

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I really can’t emphasise how good FitBody is. I think the biggest lesson learned for me is that unless you feel comfortable, it isn’t going to work. I feel so positive about going to the sessions, and being with other women is a massive confidence boost for me.Gyms in the past didn’t ever feel right and I was always too self-conscious. The environment and ethos of FitBody is safe and inspiring. Scott and Jon are fantastic coaches and even when there are things that I can’t do, I am encouraged, supported and inspired to keep going and to keep trying. The 6am starts set me up for the whole day and we laugh a lot too!

What results did you achieve?

In 28 days, I feel so much better - physically and mentally. I’m noticing changes in my shape (8cm off my waist) and I can see the muscle tone in my arms!I’m thinking more about my overall fitness than I ever have and appreciating how physical exercise needs to be a part of my emotional health too.Thank you FitBody!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

To feel fitter and be more comfortable in my own body

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I was not eating enough, I was cutting down on calories at meal times which meant I increased snacking but overall wasn’t eating enough.

What results did you achieve?

I have achieved a small weight loss and an overall improvement in not just my fitness, but my physical strength. I enjoy being in a healthy exercise routine and look forward to the classes.

I have lost cm’s from my waist which is the biggest achievement for me

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Soooo, the start of my journey was a night out with friends, and we sat there discussing how we were fed up with the way we were feeling at the time, and wanted to do something about it. A friend had been told by a work colleague about FitBody and how marvelous they were doing. Enthused, we joined.... I wanted to build up strength, being a person of a certain age...ahem...and stop those aches from sitting at a desk all day... I was a bit dubious the first week, as I have never done this type of exercise before.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I'm actually chuffed that I can manage most things even a squat!

What results did you achieve?

With Nicks kind guidance, who made adjustments to anything that I found tricky, I am on track, and loving the classes which vary from week to week.I feel so much stronger, aches have disappeared and Woohoo! To my surprise 10cm off my waist. remarkable results, especially as I carry my weight round my middle!I have also started Calorie Counting, another new thing...onwards....! Thanks Nick for all your support.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I had put over a stone on in weight during lockdown and needed to get back on track in an environment which was comfortable to train in. FitBody gave me this environment and is so convenient timewise as I can train early in the morning before work or later on after work.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I have learnt is that its not just about the exercising, It's your calorie intake as well. The great thing is I can still eat what I want to eat but in smaller portions. If I keep to my daily or weekly calories and try to keep the overall total in deficit i should be slowly losing weight.

What results did you achieve?

In the first 4 weeks I lost over 6lbs and 5cm from my waist. I can also see a difference in my shape which is pushing me on to lose more weight and get back to a size I am comfortable with.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I’ve done every diet known to man (i think) obviously with no success! I’ve always had the mentality of I want to look like that, but 5 minutes ago……

2020 I was stuck in full blown (for me) depression, I hated myself, didn’t see the point in doing anything, and my ‘relationship’ with food went to a whole new level, it’s fair to say I’m an emotional eater. Probably also fair to say that on the odd occasion I did look at myself I didn’t recognise myself at all….. bits of me wobbled that never had before, size 22 was calling for me, and I didn’t even want to leave the house. This is pretty hard with three young girls looking at me to show them what life is all about……

So with my body screaming at me to do something, my mind thinking ‘come on you need to fight this, it’s time’ I started planning how or what move I should make next.

I was having a scroll though good old FB when I saw Nicks post…. And thought right accountability, and workouts I know my body and mind responds well to this! Let’s go!!! And apart from a Monday morning attack of the lunge, I’ve not looked back!

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I still have dark days, I still binge eat, but it’s slowly getting better, I’ve had days where I can control it, and obviously days when I can’t, but I’ve realised I can’t look like that 5 minutes ago without putting in all of the graft, so my journey has started. This morning I did work out number 16, and was on such a high driving home, my thoughts have definitely been lifted by doing this program!

What results did you achieve?

And as for my body….. it’s getting there, I’ve done videos at the end of each 28 day block and I can see differences!! Which gives me a huge push to continue, and work on the food side, so thank you to Nick and the FitBody team!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I had let my weight spiral out of control, which was affecting both my physical and mental health. I used to come to Fitbody a few years back, when I left I went to a few different regular gyms but would never stick to going and when I did, I didn't really have a clue what I was doing 😂 coming back to Fitbody has definitely been the best decision for me 💪

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that fitness isn't just about how you look, it's how you feel and Fitbody has helped me massively, once again.

What results did you achieve?

After being back at Fitbody for just 4 weeks, I have lost 11lb and have just started week 5 to continue my weight loss and fitness journey.

To lose weight & get fit! After lockdown I’d increased yet another dress size & was determined that I wasn’t going to purchase another whole new wardrobe..

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

No matter what, tomorrow is always another day! If I have a bad food day, I don’t beat myself up about it but just try harder & focus on the next day - I have also learned not to workout by the shutter doors when it’s a sunny morning session 😆 #ifyouknowyouknow

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I had 3 children very close together, I also gave up smoking when I first became pregnant. I put on a lot of weight over this time and felt very unfit.Once my children weren't so dependent solely on me, and I was able to start exercising again, the lockdowns started. I began running, which is something I love and am still doing, but prior to having children I had always attended some sort of class, and was missing the direction this can give you.FitBody filled the gap perfectly for me. It mixes up the exercise I do, keeping me interested and motivated. It's also really nice to be around other adults, with me being a stay at home Mum.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I think the biggest lesson I have learnt is just to keep trying, a bad day doesn't have to ruin the whole journey.

What results did you achieve?

Since starting, my strength and fitness levels have improved significantly, and my body has began to change shape for the better. I don't find the food side of things all that easy, with having 3 fussy children to cater for, but FitBody definitely helps me try and stay motivated to make the effort.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

During the first lockdown I was unable to work due to government restrictions (I'm a beauty therapist) and I was home schooling my kids. I found myself eating more and more; mainly through boredom and literally having nothing else to look forward to! Even though I wasn't eating loads of really bad junk food, I was just snacking way too much and eating too much overall. Prior to the pandemic I was quite active; I play netball usually and try to exercise at home. I managed to get out walking a lot but it wasn't enough. My clothes gradually started to feel uncomfortably tight and like almost everyone else I slowly started to living in leggings! So my biggest aim when I joined Fitbody was to loose some inches.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Since joining I've realised that the more exercise I do, the more motivated I am to not over eat and make better choices. I've learnt lots of new techniques and am always encouraged to push myself!

What results did you achieve?

After 4 weeks at Fitbody I lost around an inch from my waist which I was so pleased about! I didn't measure other areas of my body but I can definitely see a difference in tone and my overall size, especially my hips...my clothes are starting to feel comfortable again

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined fitBody in the hope of improving both my physical and mental well-being. I work in a hospital and climbing several flights of stairs with all my equipment and personal luggage was very difficult and made me feel extremely unfit. Also in the last two years I have suffered a massive decline in my optimistic, upbeat and general ‘can do’ attitude and started to experience some mental Heath issues. I know that for some people, physically releasing negative energy and stress can help.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Eating better (healthier) does not have to be all about losing weight! At 5ft tall and never weighing more than 43-45kg i really didn’t want to lose any weight, in fact if I could manage it I’d like to put some on, and I have done exactly that! Nick made sure that I had access to videos and coaching to meet my requirements which was super helpful! The other lesson was focus which is the most important lesson that I needed to be taught.

What results did you achieve?

I have achieved sooo much!
🔹 I have gained weight
🔹I have toned up
🔹I have more energy, strength and motivation to get the job done!
I show up to my sessions sometimes tired, stressed, moody and just generally a damn right moody bitch, and by the end of my session its like I have just physically thrown what feels like the weight of the world off my shoulders and my mind. 6 months ago I could barely get my shit together enough to go to the shops. Now I am winning at life, i feel the best I have ever felt in myself. I now love my body, I love learning what I am physically and mentally capable of, and my confidence is soaring!!!

Thank you FitBody ♥️💪👏

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest thing I have learnt is nutrition. Learning about motivation, eating patterns and protein

What results did you achieve?

I have dropped a dress size, lost inches on my waist and my hips, and toned all over. It’s great to be able to go to soft play with the kids and join in, not feeling uncomfortable. Also my body confidence has increased, people noticing my weight loss and receiving positive comments is a real boost. My journey continues!

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Biggest lesson is that you can change your body, even in your 50’s, nothing is set in stone. With consistency and a desire to feel healthier it is possible to achieve your goals.

What results did you achieve?

After being back at Fitbody for just 4 weeks, I have lost 11lb and have just started week 5 to continue my weight loss and fitness journey.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I joined FitBody not only to shape up, lose weight and get fitter but also to improve my health overall. Like many people my fitness routine dropped during Covid-19 and I knew i had put a few pounds on. I then had a routine blood test earlier this year and was horrified to know i had raised cholesterol. I'm not getting any younger and i have a stressful job in the NHS so my health & wellbeing is important and required immediate attention!

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson i have learnt is to re-educate myself with my food choices and what i eat. I have never calorie counted before so this was new to me, but once I got my head around it I love it now! I never realised just how many carbs i eat and what certain foods contain, so this has well and truly opened my eyes.

What results did you achieve?

During the 28 day challenge i lost just over 3.5kg, 2cm from my hips and 1.5cm off my waist. Plus my body is slowly changing shape, toning up and i'm getting fitter by the week. I commenced on the 4th May so encountered 2 bank holidays and also had my 2nd Covid vaccination in week 3 and neither stood in my way 💪🏻🤸‍♀️

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I started at fitbody as I wanted to improve my fitness and fight the effects of menopause, at the age of 50 I hit a real low and put on over 2 stone as my thyroid stopped working as the menopause hit its peak.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

At FitBody I’ve learnt how to balance my meals, follow a more Mediterranean diet and be motivated to complete 3 sessions a week

What results did you achieve?

10 months on I’ve dropped over a stone in weight, a full dress size and have great energy and a good fitness level. I’m not a gym person.. but this is working for me, great team, great support and visible results. Very happy customer . Thanks Nick and Scott!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Having been thrown into surgical menopause last year after a hysterectomy my joints had started to ache and over the last lockdown I'd put back on some of the weight I lost 2 years ago and was struggling to maintain. I also needed to include strength exercises into my routine as I'm training for the London Marathon in October.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

There are essentially 4 things that are important to keep you on track. Fitness, Food, Focus and the Foundation - psychology or mindfulness.
Routine is key for me and that by having the Focus of going to see Nick 3 times a week and the support of the team behind him helping with nutrition and mindset, I've been able to keep on track and keep focussed on my goals.

What results did you achieve?

I feel stronger and more toned and have lost 12lbs in the first 3 weeks!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I’d always had a gym phobia, preferring to run out in the country, but the strain on my joints from many years of running took its toll; I had lower back and knee problems. I joined a gym about 7 years ago and realised the benefit of core strength and more muscle to protect my body. I also realised it was possible change your body shape!!! A year of lockdowns and all I’ve done to keep in shape is run and had faddy attempts at core and strength outside on my patio. My knees hurt from the running and my flesh wobbled, plus I’d put on a few pounds. I enquired at FitBody primarily to get back into the gym and get back into shape. I hadn’t realised how structured and supportive it was.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson is simple, I’ve learnt I can eat and maintain/lose weight! I’ve worked hard to maintain my weight over the years and relied on my running to cancel out bad eating. I love food, but I’ve regularly missed meals, been hungry and convinced myself I can’t eat three meals a day or I’ll put weight on. For three weeks now I’ve eaten three good meals per day and, because I’m calorie counting on the App, I’ve realised how poor some of my old food/snack choices were.

What results did you achieve?

Since joining FitBody I’ve got a new relationship with food and look forward to each meal. I’m not snacking instead of eating meals, I’m not hungry, the bad eating bloated feeling has gone and Scott has found muscles that had been dormant for 12 months (ouch!). The result is weight loss, trimming up and there’s less movement in the wobbly flesh! I thought I needed a gym but in truth, Its made me realise I had a hang up with food and needed the nutritional advice more!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

The biggest problem that I was trying to solve was being able to keep up with my children when out on walks and being confident when out with them.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest lesson that I have learnt from FitBody is self confidence and the seeing the results that I have got so far.

What results did you achieve?

The results that I have achieved is that when I go out with my children I am able to keep up and enjoy the time with them when out instead of sitting back and watching I join in

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Although in the past I'd enjoyed exercise, after about 9-12 months without doing very much at all, I just couldn't kick start myself to starting up again. I knew once I started again, I'd enjoy it, just couldn't find that drive. A friend had mentioned (Sarah Neate) that it's the only programme she'd managed to stick to and valued it immensely. I was looking for structure but it needed to fit with an already busy schedule (single mum of 3 children and I work full time).

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

You need to PLAN, PLAN, PLAN! I've still got a way to go with this myself, but plan to exercise, plan to eat, plan to meditate has been the biggest lesson I've learnt.

What results did you achieve?

I was already losing weight when I joined at the end of September (I'd lost around 1 1/2 stone) since the end of April, but everyone knows it's that last half stone which is the hardest to lose - with FitBody I'm now the lightest I've been in 10 years! I definitely have more energy, have a completely different relationship with alcohol (I write this a week before xmas :) ) and I'm beginning to feel stronger. Oh! I need to buy some more clothes too!
Start weight 64kg
Weight now 60.2kg
Goal 62kg

Waste start measurement should read 32inches
Now 30.5inches
Hips start 37.5 inches
now 36 inches

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?
I joined FitBody the year I was going to be fifty as I wanted to be Fit at Fifty! I had tried gyms and they really wasn’t for me so I thought I would give FitBody a go and two years later I’m still here...

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
The biggest lesson I’ve learnt is that it’s not just fitness on its own it’s a package which at FitBody is Fitness Food and Focus and if you do all 3 you get the results

What results did you achieve?
My shape has definitely changed and have dropped over a complete dress size which is what I was aiming for and to feel good in it with less lumps and bumps lol
I’ve also achieved feeling fitter than I was, which I’m really pleased about.

The programmes Nick, Scott and Paul put together are really good and they are always putting in new exercises which keeps you on your toes 😉

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?
I came to FitBody as I was struggling to get in shape, I had lost fitness over lockdown and needed a structured plan to give me motivation. My mental barriers to success were the main hurdle I had to overcome.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
You don't have to eat 'diet food' to lose weight, gain muscle and feel better about your body!

What results did you achieve?
I have learned to pace my eating so that I can enjoy the food I love without compromising my progress. After 6 weeks I have achieved my target weight, I have toned all areas and I have gained muscle - I'm even starting to see my abs again!

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

exercising regularly has changed my life; my body and sense of well being, good nutrition is also essential and FitBody facilitates all of that...Focussed, varied exercise sessions with an accessible and interesting nutrition programme where no food is off limits. Nick is always there to support, responding to messages really quickly. Fitbody gives me the tools and motivation to keep fit, manage my weight and keep a positive active sense of well-being. What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I wanted to feel confident about myself for the first time in my adult life having always been obese/morbidly obese. Even though I've lost almost 7 stone (9 stone since my heaviest) I'm still not happy with myself and know that if I wanted to get down to my ideal weight I needed to be active as well as watching what I eat. Having lost so much weight toning's also one of my main goals! I had FitBody recommended to me a while ago but I didn’t feel ready then but when I saw FitBody pop up on my Facebook feed in August I knew it was now or never.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I have muscles I didn’t know I had and they ache! But seriously, I never dreamt that I would be able to do what I have done in my first 4 weeks of sessions. Yes, I can’t do everything as my body is still getting used to moving in certain ways and I can’t do as many reps as others but I am enjoying the challenge and know that I will get there.

I’ve also realised that my mental health had taken a bit of a battering over the last 12 months and needed a bit of a work out too. My husband said that I'm happier within myself and less pressured, and he’s right, in such a short space of time I feel so much better. It's OK to be selfish sometimes, take time out for yourself and forget about everything else going on for a while.

Also, I can have some chocolate and not feel guilty.

What results did you achieve?

My mental health has greatly improved. I’m sleeping better at night, not struggling to get out of bed in the morning and have more energy during the day. When I look in the mirror I can see a difference, it’s still early days but I can see and feel that I have toned up. I still have a long way to go but I’m looking forward to it. Never thought that I would say that I enjoy exercise - Thank you

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

When I joined fitbody I wanted to lose weight, tone up and feel fitter and healthier. Since having my little boy I have had no motivation to get back into fitness and I felt like I was becoming lazy and I needed something to guide me in the right direction. Fitbody was just what I was looking for!

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

I have learnt that to get results it's really important to focus and plan your food each week. By doing this it means that I don't get a last minute takeaway which was my biggest down fall before joining fitbody. I have also learnt that exercise can be really fun and I look forward to the classes so much.

What results did you achieve?

I've been at Fitbody for 4 weeks and in that short space of time I have lost half a stone, I've toned up all over and I am so much fitter now, have lots of energy and feel much healthier. I can't wait to see the results in a few months time!! Joining fitbody was the best decision I made!! 😁

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

If you maintain focus and plan ahead and stick to your plan it works. It's having the determination and self discipline to succeed

What results did you achieve?

I've so far lost a stone but I've not reached my goal yet. I've learnt a new way to exercise to get results. I'm feeling better about myself and will push on to get to where I want to be.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I was trying to find some kind of exercise/diet that I could stick to. I had lost and gained weight several times in the past but not found anything that had lasting results

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

This is easy - that I can actually like exercise! Every other type of exercise I have ever done hasn’t lasted as I have not enjoyed it. I would drag myself through workouts etc. However, FitBody sessions are varied, tough (but you can take them at your own pace/level) and even fun! It helps that, as the weeks have progressed, I have been able to achieve more (in terms of fitness levels and the changes in my body) and see the efforts have been worth it.

What results did you achieve?

I am getting fitter everyday. I have more energy. I have a great way to work off the stresses of the day. I have lost weight (& kept it off!) as well as 25 cm from around my waist. I have also made some really lovely friends. The most amazing result of all is that I actually look forward to the gym sessions!

When I joined FitBody, I wanted to gain my confidence back after having 2 children. Also to regain fitness and enjoy it.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The biggest thing that I have learnt at FitBody is that nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated, If you follow the system. Also that exercise can be really good for both physical and mental health.

What results did you achieve?

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

As my children are grown, it was time to spend some time on me. I wanted to lose weight but have never been v successful and I also wanted to get fitter.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Just to keep going and keep moving. Previously I felt guilty if I ate something that was not on my diet or missed doing some exercise. This is a way of life and there are going to be good and bad days. By following Nick's theory of 80 / 20 it is ok to just keep going and feel good about everything you do well rather than 'beat yourself up' over the occasional hiccup. This has empowered my choices, if I want chocolate I will have it but have noticed I don't seem to want it so much.

What results did you achieve?

The way I have chosen to do the plan is slow and steady, with the occasional hiccup but I am losing weight (long way to go) and losing CM'S. What I didn't expect was the way I feel, most days I stick to the plan and feel great and a few days I don't stick to the plan but do at least one of the four F's and feel ok, not guilty.

I have also met lots of like minded women, we have a laugh and enjoy the programme. There are competitions to help you break bad habits or set new ones and such a lot of positive support. No judgement, just keep on going.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

The idea of working with older women with similar body and weight issues on a fitness and nutrition program which was not obsessed with scales and the weekly public group humiliation with the focus on weekly success and failure as I had experienced with slimming world. I became demoralised by keeping to the plan and then either losing or gaining 0.5 lb. and having to be pleased with this uncertainty. I wanted to take charge of my negative body issues and bad relationship with food in a realistic achievable and support program.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

To believe changes can happen by working with a knowledgeable fitness team. Weight is not the key focus but the achievement of my body shape changing and gaining strength I didn’t know I had. I have witnessed changes, mentally and physically I feel empowered and have gained belief in myself. This program has motivated and made me a happier person accepting of my body flaws and determined to take charge of my decisions when making good informed food focus using the brilliant easy to use plan

What results did you achieve?

I have lost the heavy weight of the vicious cycle of my bad relationship with food and am working on the ongoing battle with the negative body dsymorphia I have had all my adult life. My mental health has so improved I am medication free for the first time in 20 years. For this I will be eternally grateful for the FitBody program and the wonderful support from you and the friends I have made in my group. You have enabled me to make changes that are embedded in my thinking which is quite remarkable. Thanks Nick

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

After having a baby my self confidence was not in the greatest place and was looking for something that would help me to get back into shape and get me out of the house.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
I have learned that exercise is not an enemy and eventually you start to enjoy it (even if sometimes you feel like you might die and never make it til the end of session ). All my life I have been scared of the gym or anything else that would have sports or exercises involved, as thought that is definitely not for me and I can’t do it, but 4 months later I am truly looking forward to sessions and even trying (fail most of the times, it’s a thought that counts right?) to eat more healthier and really enjoying it too.

What results did you achieve?

I have lost just over a stone off my weight and my body feels and looks tighter and fitter, my jeans don’t feel tight at all anymore and my confidence have grown a lot. There is still a long way for me to go to where I want to be, but I start to feel better and better in my own body every day. And I have to add that I have met some wonderful ladies in group and that makes every session even more enjoyable and fun.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

When I finally gathered the courage to sign up I actually didnt believe I would ever be slim and healthy ever. I had spent years yo yo dieting and signing up to numerous diet clubs all of which I hated. They were either negative, impossible to maintain or after loosing 2 stone very little inch loss. A friend of mine had had amazing results at fitbody so in a move that was totally out of my comfort zone I decided to put my trust in Nick.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Food is not the enemy. If I do have a day when I over eat it is most definately not the end of the world. I just get back on plan and work extra hard at class. Emotional eating was a constant for me and although there are moments when it still happens they are nothing like they used to be and I can talk myself through it and either go for a run/walk or go to class. I can also go out for a meal and choose what I actually want to eat instead of what I think I should have.

What results did you achieve?

Over this last year and a half I have achieved so many firsts I really feel like a different person. I completed a 10k, did an inflatable obstacle course. I actually go out with my friends when I used to be quite the hermit unless my hubby was coming with me. At four and a half stone lighter and wearing size 8 clothes putting my faith in Nick and the fitbody system was the best decision I have ever made.

What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I had been trying to lose weight and tone for a while, I didn't enjoy going to the gym and found it difficult to maintain motivation and focus. My son is getting married in a couple of months, I’m turning 54 and wanted to improve my fitness and overall appearance in time for the wedding.

What is the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Where do I start, Firstly, Exercise can be fun…WHO KNEW. The sessions with Nick are hard work but I absolutely love every session, It’s never boring, the exercise routine changes each session ensuring we get a good all round body work out. The whole team are supportive, offering encouragement, no one judges you and we even manage to have a laugh between all the puffing and panting.

Secondly, Planning and Portion size. Deciding what to eat each day is a chore, but by planning ahead I actually save time and money (who doesn’t want to save money). The nutrition plan is easy to follow and stick to, even for a vegetarian but best of all, I can still have chocolate, bread and Pizza. The key to it all is portion size.

Finally, Time Out. We all lead busy lives, so its important just to take five minutes a day to truly relax and reboot. For me this works best at night, after jobs are done. Taking time to relax has helped me to destress, maintain focus and generally feel better in myself.

It is not just about one element of your lifestyle that makes the difference & it takes time to get where you want to be – All of the elements at FitBody are as important as each other to keeping you on track! I was a grazer when it came to food so the main thing for me is now having my portion control sorted and not being tempted to snack as much

What results did you achieve?

I’m still on my journey, however, since starting at FitBody in June, by body shape has changed noticeably, i'm more toned, I've gained muscle, I’ve lost 5” from my waist and 18lb in weight. I am more motivated, I have more energy and feel fitter and stronger than ever before. It’s important to remember that you only get out what your willing to put in. I work hard during my sessions, I also exercise at home between sessions (never thought I would do that). However, I couldn’t have achieved this level of motivation without the support of FitBody team, and the brilliant ladies I work out with.

1. What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

In 2017 I joined Fitbody, I needed a fitness focus, I love running & spinning but with reasonable cardio ability I knew I had no core strength, I couldn’t even swing a kettle bell!! I wanted to have an overall tone, with a small weight loss but that wasn’t my main focus. I also had the opportunity to run the London marathon in 2018 so strength was needed to balance the cardio.

2. What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

It’s about balance and I don’t just mean swinging the kettle bell!! So firstly food: Food needs to compliment the exercise. I used to look at different food plans and say I hadn’t time to “faff with prep” - how wrong was I!! It’s so much easier if I don’t prep I haven’t a clue what to eat and then I get stressed about food and over eat. so the food plan actually makes my life easier (and the family like the food too!) also one bad meal or a bad day is just that, fix it the next day by getting back to plan and enjoy the food.

Exercise: this is so much fun, the FB team are supportive and positive, we are all at different stages of our journey and we are all totally different people (inside and out) we work hard in the sessions, we have a giggle, we push each other and are there to listen when support is needed. The sessions makes you sweat, ache the next day but all in rewarding ways of knowing the focus in the sessions really works.

Focus: mental strength is key, taking time to relax but also believing in yourself, pushing just that little bit each time and looking back to what you have achieved will and does help you reach your goals, the end goal may seem miles away (like 26.2miles) but in bite sized chunks & enjoying the moments, and reflecting on the journey you can achieve.

The FB Crew (PT’s): Nick and Arun are creative geniuses, they make our sessions different every time, they mix it up, challenge us to push the limits and give us muscle burning exercises!! There are no boring machines to sit and waste 5 minutes looking at your phone then doing another 10 reps. It’s focus on the exercise to some cracking tunes!!!

3. What results did you achieve?

I’m still achieving, I have lost around a stone, my body shape is progressing (I’m impressed with my guns!!) I can swing a 14-16lb kettle bell, I push myself continually. I ran & totally enjoyed the London Marathon and ran my fastest ever 10k a few weeks ago! That’s all because of the overall strength that the FB training/workouts give me. What you put in is what you get out, I give my all every time as I totally enjoy the results I get, with the support of the FB crew (a special thanks to Nick for the “focus” texts of recent for a 12 week focus to get to help me focus to achieve a goal) and the FB ladies that I train with, no matter what time of day you go to a session you have “fun”. I’ve made some amazing friends to enjoy exercise with, Wrekin Walks and the odd gin night & afternoon tea too!

I’d been looking at holiday photos of my summer holiday and feeling pretty horrified when the advert came through for FitBody on FB. I could answer yes to all the questions so decided to actually do something about the way I looked instead of letting it bother me - so I signed up. That was nearly two years ago

2. What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
The biggest wake up call I had was that food is the key to success. I thought I could start exercising seriously for the first time in my life and just eat it what I wanted - Nope! The food plan is the key to everything. Once you realise that and go with it the rest is easy.

3. What results did you achieve?
I have never stuck to any type of food plan before or taken exercise seriously so nothing ever worked before.

Within 3 months at FitBody I had lost 1.5 stone and 16cm off my waist. I’m definitely more toned and fitter.

The most startling thing is 17 months later, not only have I not put any weight or cm back on I actually love doing the exercise sessions and miss it if I don’t go. I have no idea how that happened but I blame Nick Slater (thank you, I think?)

1. What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?
The motivation to try to get back in shape and lose baby weight without going to a ‘slimming club’.

2. What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
What you put inside your body and the amount you put in has a big impact. Portion size is very important and being more aware of what you eat. Also getting to know the other people who go has been fantastic and I feel there is a real support network there, including the trainers.

3. What results did you achieve?
I’ve lost 2 stones and lots of cm. I started as a lazy, size 14 and I am now a size 8 and feel fitter than I ever have. I wasn’t able to run for 5 minutes without stopping and now I’m training to run a half marathon.

1. What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

To lose weight & keep it off.

2. What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Regular meals are key & faddy diets do not work.
Intense exercise 3 times a week works better than mundane gym sessions that do nothing.

3. What results did you achieve?

Helped me to drop 3 stone & 3 dress sizes.
Continuing sessions is helping me to maintain my results.

Portion control,I can lose weight and keep it off. How much I enjoy working out. A diet doesn’t have to consist of shakes and salads.

Some body confidence, it’s still growing (And I've met an amazing group of people!)

1) What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

When I started I was inconsistent. I had zero confidence when working out, gyms, weights and other gym users scared me. I knew I needed to do something different but I didn’t know what or how. I knew that I was making excuses, binge eating and I was getting larger and flabbier and it was becoming a problem.

2) What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

Work smarter, not harder. There are genuine people that will support you and the gym isn’t a scary place.

3) What results did you achieve?

I am mentally and physically stronger. My body is leaner, more toned and has the beginnings of muscle definition. I actually enjoy working out and am no longer afraid of weights. Food is not the enemy and you can have all the things you enjoy and still be healthy, it’s all about balance. I am committed and consistent to a plan for the first time. I have made some amazing friends.

1) What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

Weight loss

2) What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

That weight is relative

3) What results did you achieve?
Whilst weight loss has not been as much as I'd initially hoped my body shape has changed considerably, inches lost, muscle gain and although still need work I am far happier than I'd be just losing weight without the much improved body sculpting.

suffice to say I'm really enjoying getting fitter and receiving compliments on how I look!

1) What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody?

I came to FitBody because I wanted to feel better about the way my body has changed after having 3 children by losing some excess weight and toning up.

2) What’s the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?

The emphasis is massively on the nutrition side of FitBody and I have always struggled to know what I'm doing wrong. I'm a vegetarian and to be honest I didn't think my diet was too bad on the whole. What I have found is that portion size is absolutely key. I also find that my workout days give me such a buzz that I don't want to fill my body with rubbish because I don't want to un-do the hard work.

3) What results did you achieve?

I started the nutrition system about 4 weeks ago now and my first gym session was 3 weeks ago. I have lost 13lbs so I'm just short of a whole stone of weight loss so far. The inches are falling off too. I have lost 3 inches off my waist and the best bit is that I don't have to give up living to lose the weight. I had Nando's and a cheeky glass of wine this weekend!
